Ultima 1 - Mariah Widebody Pacific Avatar 1st Generation Convertible Rebuild

Well, this build thread is not for the faint of heart, or apparently those with no patience as it has taken me over three years to begin to document it as I took a one only car and upgraded it a bunch to current standards. Ouch.

Well guys,

Years ago, I got the hankering to create a first generation convertible and worked on a plan on and off for awhile, before discovering these boards and spending hours reading Zach's 56k no way Pacific Avatar car thread - and realizing that they were already out there. I never thought i would find one for myself.

Here is the Mariah web site photos of my car, wayyyyyyy before I got it and started upgrading it and making it unrecognizable - oops, started to spill the beans

This build thread is a restart of the thread on this car I started about 3 years ago but hopefully with a more concise path, and finally, with a collection of build pictures.

A few of the guys will hate me for changing the car from original, but hey, what's original about a wide body kit on an aftermarket convertible conversion of a 1st gen rx7 that was never produced! Sounds custom to me.....

I'd rather have my poor man's version of a supercar - rx7 style - so that's what i am building.

Cheers, cliff

Here's the earliest pics I could find of my car at 7-stock.
I think that is Nick of Rotary engineering - Fast Freddies in the hat and bell bottoms?

Ultima Pacific Avatar conversion is alive.

Yes, I currently own that car. Thanks for asking.
Though I wonder - it has been at the mechanics for most of the last 5 years.
It has another thread "Ultima Pacific Avatar conversion is alive" where i am just posting pictures. Working my way to current from 2007 !!!
Enjoy! cliff
