engine bits

one previously butchered inlet, to more butchered in to a 12a ida manifold

finished polish and drilled for a 12a

ida

i bought this from the states unturned up in the uk all buggered.

chipped

bent

some of the jets were missing, was not impresed

wideband

plates

paid £36 for this engine, but had bollocks housings and rotors everything else can be re used (so goot good 12a tall port plates, good crank and other internals

little update

made my own gauge pod for the wideband

lovely cnc machined dual pulley for the alternator, going to run a series 5 fc alternator, lighter and smaller then stock and put out a little more amps

xmas presents, great reading

i have decided to bridge port my own motor, so bought some new burr's and an adjustable die grinder and decided to port out the water pump (practice and help flow)

end result minus the polishing with the 1000 grit

this was a 13b 4 port manifold, which has been welded and im porting it out to suit a 12a

masked with outline of ports to be ported

almost down and again needs to finished with some 1200 grit paper

update in a mo

so my inlets journey in life

from this:

to this:

to this:

sprayed red for a laugh

to this:

12a inlet gasket

alloy welded up

to this:

skimmed and polished up, ready to go

not sure how this is going to flow, but should be more than fine.

just need to wait for racing beat to email me back to order porting templates

ok little update

tools

my racing beat templates turned up

inlet

exhaust

nearly finished

the difference

i have cheated with my irons, as id rather not completely ruin them, ive had a local mate machine the bridge as much as he can and then i will finish them off with the grinder

also my fuel pump and handbrake cables up, and have also finished porting the inlet to suit as well
