I figured I would add my project ideas here since I mentioned them a few times. Everyone in the 1st gen world loves this particular car. I have the 1:43 die cast sitting 3" from my keyboard right now as an example. With mine, I am doing a dark blue base paint (lotus color) while utilizing the stripes from this car but instead of the two greens, I will use black and dark gray. However I can not get the big flares you have to do the car. Currently I have Ronin Flares on the car with the factory paint and striping from the dealer. Once I have the money saved up, I will be buying the mariah GTO WB kit and then paintin it.
I like your car, I love the work and major cuddos for getting it done right.

Thanks for the kind words...
Well not a lot to report, started to put a few item on. Still waiting on some NOS parts from Mazda...
Trying to use as much new parts as possible.
New vents, connectors and screws.
Taillights in, but just still waiting on the new washers, that fit around the lens screws. Also a new weather seal for the hatch.
New brake booster and clutch master, aswell a new bonnet latch.
Did manage to put a few other bits and pieces on over the weekend, while bathurst 1000 race telecast was on.
New door handles
New door seals, inner and outer weatherstrips. Best to install the inner one first.
Mounted the pedal box aswell and cables
This is a series 2 pedal box, as i can't find the genuine clutch bracket, for the larger MFR brake booster could fit. Just cut the clutch mount on the fire wall and move it over 20mm.

Sorry Guys, the motor will be put together very soon. Been chasing some bits, I can't find anywhere, a new Oil Pump sproket and new front cover smaller bolts (38mm). As this motor will be full of new parts, bar the MFR 12a Housing & MFR Side plates, there second hand. Keeping the New housings for the next motor, in which I'll build it with the MFR Dry Sump set up.
I've put together the bumpers, with new bumper rubber strips and indicator lens.

Ok, bit of an update. Matt Russell started putting together my engine yesterday, after a bit of preping.
Rotor.....both Lightened and Race clearanced.
Started with all new parts for the motor, the only bits that isn't available from Mazda are the 3 shorter front cover bolts and the Oil Pump gear. The rest ALL new, even bolts!
MFR Bolts
Engine.....

Now just waiting on some new Oil pump and oil pickup bolts, then finishing with front cover, sump ETC. Then it will be run in on an engine dyno.
Can't wait, keen to see it run and that MFR noise...........
