REW motor-modded
Water / Air Intercooler w/ heat exchanger /7"fan
3.5" intercooler pipes (Thanks hyperformance)
Griffin Scirocco Radiator w/fan
80mm turbo
Manifold ceramic coated
E&J electric waterpump
-20 startlite hose with fittings
-20 thermostat housing
Couple of bov's
M&W PRO-14R CDI
M&W Ferrite Coils
MSD wires
All deutsch connectors, raychem dr25, loom used through out

Looking awesome, what happened with the other setup?

Are you going to still be using a factory hood? It looks like the elbow on the throttle body may cause an issue with it sitting pretty high? Very cool example of how to make one of these cars go REALLY fast!

Where are you buying the E&J parts through? Looks like they have some very impressive parts that I wouldn't mind looking at.

Awesome build.

What causes the idle to lope like that? I'd never expect to hear a rotary doing that; sounds like a V-twin!

The old motor was a stock TII engine that I broke on the dyno. I wasn’t running a intercooler but only meth injection to cool the intake charge. This proved to not be sufficient as my intake temps were 220 degrees. I eventually spun a bearing on the engine, and my compressor housing on my turbo fell out during a run. It was a pretty disastrous day.

Correct on the engine height, I didn’t realize how much higher the 3rd gen intake sits than the 2nd gen intake. So, I’ll need to do something about the hood. I’ll need some sort of hood scoop added. Got any suggestions?

Not too worried about it right now, I don’t have a problem with driving it around town without a hood.

Cowl induction, TII, Hemi style scoops, there are a ton of choices.

The cowl will give the car a muscley look, while the TII will hint at the turbo inside.

There is the Caprice scoops, they are wide and flat and should clear the elbow barely.

What rims are those? 4x110?

Front rims? Pretty sure they are 4x4.5....it's got the gslse suspension up front.

Dude you have came along way with this project and in detail with pics and vids and with a small list?? of parts your using. Such inspiration to alot of people on this site congratulations,ill be taking a slightly different direction (on a budget witch means broke) Hopefully when I'm done we'll meet on the drag strip in the near future

I like that I can drop a wrench on the fender and not worry about the finish (unlike with my old FD). I was always worried about the car getting scratched, and cracking the widebody. They’re completely different animals, so it’s hard to say.

When people see my 1st gen for the first time, they first thing they say is “I like your FD a lot better, but this is cool too”. That’s kind of disheartening, but whatever… 

Right now, the only thing holding me back from getting tuned is my fuel pump setup. I'm currently running one Aeromotive A1000 Pump and that's clearly not enough. I need to buy two Bosch 044's, then I'll be all set for getting tuned. Hopefully, we'll start the tuning process in December.

did you take into account tire growth when you tubbed the car. It looks like they might rub pretty bad once you get above 100mph because as im sure you know those tires will grow on you.

We had the car up to 150 mph on the dyno and no rubbing occured.

FYI; Mickey Thompson states that their radial tires have zero growth.
