MN My red 79 rx7!

Hi i decided to make a thread for my red 79 rx7 i won't be doing that much to it since it is almost mint just a few things. It needs little things like spark plugs and trunk lifts i am buying those this week but it needs some other things like a drivers seat that i will be having fixed locally and i will be adding a new racing beat exhaust because the stock one is not very good. that is all i won't be modding this one at all this one is meant to stay original i will buy another rx7 for that so by spring 2015 it will be perfect any ready to enjoy.

You scrapped a 7??? That's just crazy. You could have parted it out and kept other 7's alive or sold it to someone who could have used it. If it had a running 12A, the engine alone is worth more than you probably got in scrap for the car. For shame sir for shame..

The body was rusted to **** i took all the parts of that were usable alot of the parts were crap. The engine stayed with the car stopped running and didn't fell it was worth taking out the engine for the housings and rotors the engine was badly taken care off. Plus i need the garage to work on my other 7.

Didn't want to deal with it it was bolted in the car would of been a pain to remove it all Plus i hated it on there anyway would of never used it on another rx-7. I am hopefully getting my licence tomorrow and driving it this weekend.

GAH, the wheels are worth over $300 alone.. Why sell that thing man? I mean, I understand why you did, but in the future, maybe sell the car to someone here on the forum instead of losing money by selling the car to some hack who will not appreciate it.

On a brighter note, I like your 79. Looks to be a super clean SA!

Cody - do us all a favor and before selling parts for less then scape value, post them here first. Those wheels are worth at least $300 like somebody already noted. Give your friends the first shot. Hell, I would have given you a Big Brake Kit for them.

Hang on, so that wasn't you that scrapped the car? Those wheels are worth their weight in gold to most of us first gen guys. I texted him and he was saying he's keeping the wheels, hopefully he did and he'll sell them off. You're sure that's him with the ads? I'll contact him and try to get my hands on those wheels and skirts if he still has them and will sell them.

He said he needed them to move the car around he is keeping it for a project. I just couldn't get the dam things off and i didn't think it was worth it they needed to be power coated and if i did take them off i would have to track somebody down that would take the car without rims or tires just sounds like a huge pain in the *** for a couple hounded dollars in rims.

I texted him today and he still has the car, didn't scrap it. He is going to drop a 6.0L Escalade V8 in it. Great.

Yeah, I woulda gave you stock FB wheels to throw on there to sell it plus cash on my end. I need some old mesh wheels like that.

Yeah i just got tired of it and didn't want to deal with it anymore he is going to be in a surprise when he sees all the rust those side skirts are hiding i say in a couple years it will really start falling apart and the floors will start falling in.
