when you lay on the fiber glass on the gel coat, how smooth is the inside? Do you have to sand the fiberglass smooth afterwards for making the carbon fiber piece? It would be nice if you could show some step by step on how to go from piece, to mold, to carbon piece. Or even if you can list all the steps needed. I really want to get into doing carbon fiber and you seem to be a pro at it now

This is why its important that the piece you want to make a mold out of is absolutely perfect on the surface, the smoother surface you have on the "plug" the smoother the surface in the mold gets, the Gelcoat "copys" the surface of the "plug"
Step by step:
1. Polish the surface of you part.
2. Put on the release film. And let it dry.
3. Gelcoat, one thick layer, or two thin. Let this dry to it gets sticky, almost dry.
4. Fiberglas, as many layers as you want, but its important that the first layer is without any air between the fiber and the gelcoat. Should have at least 3 layer for a mold, the more layers the better.
The mold is finished.

Didn't get any Video from the car today, but got some pictures of how it looks now though.
Some pictures.
My instrumentpanel, this is where I can see how the motor feels.
My custom made Carbon fiber door panels.
My rear hatch.
The car from the side
The front end/side of it.
More front end.

Had plans for turn signals in the original spot, and put some headlights in the front aswell, but had to put the tow-fitting in one of the turnsignal holes..
So in the end, there will be no lights in the front...
