done some test drive today..

had the boost up at 1,8 at a moment, some problems with the wategate..
HOLY ****, it moved good

Got the problem fixed so now I'm running 15 psi.. with no peaks..

Gets wheelspin on 4'th gear with just putting the throttle down..

Engine and car is working fine now, just a problem with the rear axle, but that problem is also solved now..

Trackday this weekend, gonna do some good testing on the car then..

I LOVE THE POWER OF THE 3 ROTOR!!!

Great to see the beast running.
Great job!

I would be interested to know if you have scaled and corner-weighted the car yet? I was wondering where you landed on overall weight and how it split from front to rear with all your carbon work.

Shoot some video at the track day. It would be great to see. Incar camera if you have it.

Mazda should hire you to restore RX-7's or at least create a Retro first gen

Lucky me

took the car down to the track on the track day, just so I could find out that I had a cracked oil-channel in the engine..

The thick middle iron has a small crack on the outer oil channel, so have now taken appart the engine, and taking it to the place i work to do some NDT checks on it tomorrow.

NDT test means that i check all the parts for cracks..

some pictures of the engine like it is right now:

Standing still right now, been on a holliday trip to italy for a week.

But now I'm back for full speed again..

The middle iron is under repair now, I'm trying to weld it, got some good advices from hurley about that.. Also ordered another motor from the states now, a autoexe motor.. As soon as i get the parts over here I will build up two engines that I can use, everything you have in spare wont break..

Nothing has happened since the last update, but updates comes as soon as something happens

Thats a bit of rough luck with the engine. Nice to see she's nearly finished though. Paint looks awesome.

Thats right, the motor is rebuilt by AutoEXE and its all brand new parts.
The motor has been runned for about 2000 miles after rebuild

These motors are actually beter than a C or D code:
The block build from all New parts
New side plate (Thick dowel pin plates)
New FD3S rotor housing
New rotors
New E-shaft
All internal parts brand new
Autoexe portwork
Close tolerances: Autoexe says built with 1/1000 mm clearance
Each engine badged with an Autoexe. serial number tag on the CAS

Man, considering how much fun my SA with a pretty much stock engine from an 83 is, I can only imagine how much fun that is to drive. Besides all the great information on this site, this is what I love about it, is threads like this. I may never end up building something like that, but dreams are free, and they're even better when you can read a thread like this and see pictures of your dreams.

I've been going through and cleaning up my car and plan to do some fairly decent upgrades down the road, and I love working on it and driving it, but it's also nice to get on here and see some of the huge builds that people are doing.
