So how long will that take me to cut a car up like that? I have a car here I will need to chop up for the metal yard once I've pilfered all the parts. I need the rear sections for the race car here, but after that I need to get the eye sore out of here.

I want to save the front clip for the race cars here as a spare and I'm not sure where the best place is to cut near the fire wall and A-pillar. Was hoping for some input or advice if anyone knows the best place to hack to save the clip. The donor here is an SA.

Sorry for the hijack.

got some done this weekend also, got the turbo finished built so i can start on the downpipe and wastegate piping now, done most wiring this weekend as well, so nothing special to see on pictures.

Can put up a picture of my instrumentpanel that I made out of a aluminium sheet, made just like the stock one is so it fits in the stock place with the stock skrewholes and everything.

Here you have a link to some pictures of the rally-car that I am a mechanic on, it is a original GrpB rallycar, number 16 from the factory if i'm not wrong.
To bad it is in Norwegian, but you can see the pictures at the bottom on the side

its called for STACK, not just the tachometer, but the digitale panel below has speed, oil and fuel press, water and oil temp, lap time, and can also program it so it warns you if the temperature or pressure falls below a certain limit

The Stack 8000 Series Line is a full data acquisition system (DAQ). It is used in motor racing primarily on higher end cars. Similar to a Motec DAQs. Some club racers use them also in the Sedan classes in the US but they are more expensive so they sometimes opt for the AIM systems or GPS based DAQ's. The import costs for the Stack helps to keep the price higher in the US (along with current weak dollar). The Stack line up is quite popular in European racing, particularly Saloon racing in England, BTCC and junior classes. Demon Tweeks has a neat catalog and is a good source for a host of race car parts that are often hard to obatain here in the U.S. They used to provide a free catalog once a year inserted the UK publication called Autosport (hard to find in U.S.). You can also order a catalog from their website (google it). The Stack panel is the heart of the DAQ system and you add optional sensors all over the car to monitor steering angle, wheel speed, braking, throttle position and a host of other vital signs. After a session on the track, the software allows you to critically analyze the performance on a laptop and gives you the information for setup changes, or analyzing driver performance. You can overlay data from other racers to help you improve.

Since you are in Virginia, the importer for the Stack line in the U.S. is Racer Parts Wholesale. Speak with Jack.

Brace yourself. The setup ain't cheap. You will start off at $2K plus and go up to $4K plus and higher by adding sensors and/or the optional digital cam recorders and overlays software.

Having said that, I love the Stack systems. I used them while racing open wheel and saloons in Europe. They are very good with accurate Stepper motors and the analog tachs are preferable (to me) for immediate input on the track.

Motec systems are even higher than this and are popular in open wheel racing and sports cars.

Here is the US link.

Follow the links to a variety of options for displays, tachs and dashes.

P.S. Mods, - no affiliation with the company above. Just like the Stack systems and providing information here.
