This is his new sister arriving in February. Only 79,000 orig km (45,000 miles), 1 owner, base model 89 S5 n/a. She has been sitting for 12 years due to a popped apex seal in the rear rotor. Negotiating for over 2 years on this deal. I have a healthy S5 that has been under wraps in my garage that I bought 2 1/2 years ago for $200 for just such a find. Excuse the low grade camera phone pics and the car is dirty, but totally rust free.
It has sat beneath a carport under a car cover for a long long time waiting for me.
This one, $1,200.....the FB, still a secret
Interior is almost like new, never smoked in either.

You can just make out above the rf wheel where i did a little test spot with a rag and some compound. She is really gonna come to life when I hit it with my polishers!

Total fail on the powerfoam decarbonizing dream....one last effort with be steaming it this weekend (drawing water through a vacuum hose while running it down the highway.
i have an engine that has great compresion on the rear rotor and zero on the front. upon inspection i found that all three apex seals were carbonized and seized like they were tucked downward. i have had mmo, atf, pb blaster, wd40, and small amounts of oil in there for overa year and it still has not let the seals loose. my only thought at this point is a rebuild. hope you have better luck with your engine.
