my build/ resto.
Hey all
Very new to Rx7s and rotary in general. My car is relatively clean. Got a few dings that i plan to do body work on but all-n-all the car looks good. I get lots of compliments on it. So this is sorta a buil thread and resto like title says. (will be posting pics here shortly of all over the car) Sorry if this part is a little boring.
So far I found out my windsheild wipers were half *** working. They would go up and you would hear like the motor is trying to move back and sounded like grinding. So a shop told me its pry the linkage and they bet their bottom dollar on linkage.
----So i started there and I pulled it out. Linkage was a little rusty so i hit it with WD40 and then pulled it apart and did fresh greasing on the wipers. Then hooked up the motor on its own and it would spin stop and grind spin stop and grind. So i figured its the motor since i got the linkage moving amazing and free. So went to pick and pull and got a new motor. And walllllah fixed. So if you ever have your wiper motor sound like its trying but not going anywhere. Look into getting one from a parts yard as they are rather expensive.
Just posting some prices out there so you can get an idea not trying to put anyone down and steer you away from any ones business.
