Conversion.......kit?
Uh, well since the 20B was made for a car that was NOTHING like the 1st gen and was concieved by Mazda some 10-12 YEARS after the 1st gen was designed,Id say its very unlikely that there is a "conversion" kit out there.
Frankly, the 20B is so powerful it would be unsuitible and unsafe for someone to be able to simply drop one in easily. The fact that you must fabricate and think creatively to accomplish the swap helps insure that anyone attemping it will likely adress more important issues first, like braking, suspension, drivetrain integrity, steering, passenger safety and chassis reinforcment.
Anything is possible with money, but a 20B swap is NOT an undertaking for the uninitiated.Try a 13BT swap first to familiarize yourself with the turbo/EFI engines. And you might just be AMAZED by how quick such a light car is with just the 13BT.I admitt, the 20B is an incredible powerplant,I have, and am still considering it as an option to replace my streetport S5 13BT in the future, but it IS NOT AN EASY SWAP, AND IT NEVER WILL BE!

ah, its not that bad if you go NA, and yes, it has been done. It's not a 20b, but do a search on google:

HITMAN RX7

and you will see his 3 rotor FB. Pics and all. NIce setup.

Turbo'ing a 2 rotor isn't cheap either, but IMHO gives you a better weight balance (keeps the engine in it's stock position without the added overhang of an extra rotor)
