My 83 GSL
God I wish you were local. For two reasons. One, I would love to cruise with you. Two, I would love to get my grubby hands on those AutoBahns. I'm sure you will get a good penny for them!!!!!!

You aren't in vegas?
. Maybe I know you? lol.
Lol I hear you man. That would be awesome to cruise with you! I don't think i've cruised with another turbo FB yet.. Hahah. I still have the autobahns as of now. Been focused on other things at the moment instead of posting them up.
I believe there were two bleeder screws on the turbo rear calipers. I just used one on each caliper and bled them like you would any other caliper. I always start bleeding the brakes in order from passenger rear, driver rear, passenger front, driver front.
Thank you! Aren't we all
No real updates again. Car hangs out in the garage. Still drive it around once or twice a week. Time for an oil change though. Engine is getting near the 5,000 mile mark. Still pulls like a bat out of hell. Still impressed with goopy seals. I drove the car a few days ago and it was the first time in atleast a week and a half. The car cranked for under two seconds and fired right up.
Should be more things to come in the new year though.

Been boosting for over a year now on this same setup after the rebuild. Pulls just as hard as it did dyno day. Consistently reliable to me. Goopy seals and a good tune I guess
. Should hopefully be updating more often soon. Starting to put more work back into the car again.

The autobahns will be used on a rx2 now in Canada :icon_tup
I did the rack/pinion setup to my 85 and it makes a whole world of a difference in the feel of the steering. Much tighter and precise. No floating feel like i was used to from the old steering box.

Thank you! That's the look I go for. If somebody that didn't know anything about our cars was to look at it would think I just have wheels on the car. Just the way I like it

I've been working more on the 7 now. She's starting to see more love again lol. Recently decided to pick up some wheels I've always wanted for the car since I got into the car scene. Here's what came in...

They're LM20 CCWs. 16x7 fronts and 16x9.5 rear wrapped with fusion 205/45/16 fronts and 245/45/16 rears..The finish on them is a brushed bright clear face. The inner spokes or windows are polished. Faces were then powdercoated clear. Inner barrels and outer lips fully polished. Supposedly the first or one of few sets ever made in the world for a STOCKBODY 1st gen rx7 streetcar. Just need to lower a little more now..

Damn!!! I hate you...lol
Looking good man!!! How about a rear shot to see how stuffed those 245's are in there. I've been contemplating some new shoes as well, but i'm keeping the autobahns...

lol. I need to have a photoshoot.. the rear looks mean as hell. I'm .250" from tire to inner body. I triple checked all measurements before having wheels made to my specifications lol.Still miss the autobhans not gonna lie.. classics
Sweet set of 16's. I would think hard about going any lower. I had to completly get rid of the front bump stops and cut the rear ones down to nothing to get any suspension travel. I could go lower with mine, but I won't. I am trying to get off these 4X110's. I would just be happy rolling with the GSL-SE setup. Definantly looking good bro!!!!

Big thanks to John and Dan at ccw too. Forgot to mention. Great guys and wheels !
One thing I'm not sure was such a great thing, but I went with a little bit stiffer spring rate in the rear to keep the rear from sqauting so much. The spring rate of the rear Eibachs from a "kit" is 175s. I am running 225s in the rear of mine. The only main downfall is in the rain.
I can be pulling a long hill under boost and the rear will start drifting in 4rth under boost

I want just a little more boost! Like 2-3 psi. Just want to join the 300whp club lol.
Thank you! Haven't really experienced any understeer really to me. The car handles great all around and the rack and pinion is just lovely. I don't usually push it much in corners anyways cause of boost. Don't want the car to step out.. no curbs please lol.
Haha thanks bud! Hate your engine setup

wait until you see what i got in the car right now...went full sleeper stock look with the fuel system. i"ll send you a link to the build thread i'm gonna post up. it's an awesome setup for the first gens. stay tuned!!
get that shot of those 245's!! dying to see that!
squat isn't a bad thing, too stiff of a spring and the tires will lose traction easier. for traction purposes you should be using a little over half wheel travel on a launch, the lower the car is the more difficult this is to compensate for.
lower air pressure in the rears also help with traction, i ran about 16psi in the rears when i went to the strip but i wouldn't run that on the street.

I haven't really launched this car with the new 245s in the rear yet.. Just don't want to destroy the rear end lol.
They barely fit in there.. but they fit. Quarter inch from tire to inner body. I had some pics taken today. Put up some soon!
