Those look fantastic. Brake dust will never rinse off. It's like glue. However if you get an aluminum painted wheel cleaner http://blogs.mustang50magazine.com/6...ine/index.html <-- what I use, they will shine after every wash. The way I do it is I pull into a coin wash, spray and scrub two wheels with that stuff, usually the fronts since they see the heaviest buildup of dust, then I start the wash and wash the car. Before I rinse I do the rear wheels and they always come out shining. The scrubbing brush attached to the head makes short work of the dust and gets into the nooks n crannies really well.

. Staying away from Hawk brake pads too now. They didnt seem to help, but only add more brake dust.

Getting my TO4B v trim turbo rebuilt and upgraded. I was going to do a TO4E 60 trim, but i'm going with a TO4E 57 trim with p trim turbine wheel. Will definitely make 350whp if wanted.
Looks like C. Ludwig made 340whp on a car with this same turbo at 10 psi. Should be fun.
Also waiting to get my rotorhousings back from a shop.

Built my new turbo. Turbo is now a TO4E 57 trim with p trim turbine wheel. Everything new except turbine wheel and housing. It still has a .70 a/r housing on it which i'll most likely upgrade. Still debating on which a/r to go with.
Also got my rotorhousings back. I got tired of trying to find good 2nd gen 6 port irons. My GSLSE 6 port irons are in great shape with little stepwear. I decided to have a shop mill coolant grooves into my S5 TII housings so I can use them with my GSLSE irons. Coolant grooves are an exact copy of my old GSLSE housings.

. I'll be keeping an eye on your thread to see what you go with! Thanks!That turbo better look good in there haha. Thanks! I put a lot of time into these wheels. They definitely wont be seeing gravel. I'm not sure if there are any gravel roads in vegas anymore lol.

Definitely will be going back together very soon now. Just started a new job where i'll be making great money. Just seals/springs/orings and good tune left. I say somewhere in March the 7 will be back on the road pushing 350hp tuned..

Getting closer!!! 
Still need corner seals, apex seal springs, oil oring springs, coolant seals, and a couple gaskets. Will all be ordered next week and ready to build once parts come in.
Also cleaned up my wastegate. Cleaned and sprayed 2000* paint on it.

Quick question about your wheel polishing job. I'm doing a set of wheels and got one polished real nice but there are some scratches still visible when you get close. They are great from a couple feet but once you start looking close they start to be come noticeable. Probably pushed too hard with the coarser grits. Did you run into the same issue or should I try resanding them? I'd rather not since it's a long job but I want to make sure I'm not the only one with lips that aren't as good as they could be.

Interesting. I've never ran into that issue with wheels i've polished. I've seen it happen where metal was "overpolished" and started pitting or creating light scratches, but i've been lucky to not experience that. The metal on your wheels could be different from mine. The exact process I did on my autobahns was (starting from around 400 grit) wet sand, polish, wet sand, polish, wet sand, polish, etc. until I got up to 2000 grit. I polished the wheel inbetween every sanding trying to get the best polish out of it as if it was the final polish. The way I think of it polishing after every sanding you're eliminating any possible chance of scratches or pitting by making it completely smooth every time. It definitely wasn't fun. I did one wheel every 2-3 days I believe. I hope this helps. There will always be very fine scratches.

A set of BBS RS that I'm refurbishing. I went and redid the first lip I did and am much happier with the results. The second one I did I may or may not go over again because after a side by side it looks damn near the same, aside from a couple deeper scratches. I'll try polishing in between grits with the two remaining lips to see if that makes a difference. If I put flares on the rear when the body eventually gets done I'll just replace the rear lips with wider ones, so I won't worry too much about making them perfect. These were in pretty rough shape when they got here so this is already a massive improvement.
Here's some pics, one is a test fit just after I got them, the other is the two finished lips with one that hasn't been touched aside from the clearcoat being stripped.

If your willing to put in the elbow grease they are almost reasonable from vrwheels.com used. Just gotta wait til they have the size/offset/bolt pattern your looking for. Mine were $1000ish after shipping. I was going to spend the same on some Enkei RPF1's, but thought I could make these look nicer. Look at spending about another $500-$700 or so replacing bolts, buying sandpaper and polishing stuff and having them painted. Not for the faint of heart or tight of wallet but these make every car look better. The ones VRwheels has already rebuilt are going for well over $2K.

Yeah the area around the bolt holes has been a major pain compared to the rest of the lip. There is still a small amount of pitting that just isn't going to come out, mostly indentations where the bolt heads sit against the lip and a few spots where the oxidation was really bad. Hardly noticeable, so it's a win in my book. Wheels like yours push me to keep putting the work in. Just two more to go then I can start stripping the barrels.

I think a lot of us want those wheels^ lol. I'll take them in 15 or 16". 16" is pushing it on a FB in my book. I can't see 17" unless widebody like you plan DF.
