Holley Problem
I have an 82' with a fresh 13B motor, Racing Beat intake and Racing Beat Holley carb to match. I was having a lot of hesitation and back firing when trying to drive the car. I took it to my friend's garage, replaced the primary coil, advanced the timing, and tuned the carb a little bit. Runs like a champ now, however, it is a bear to start, it actually takes two people to start the car, one to hit the starter, and another to hold the throttle linkage wide open, after about 30-60 seconds of cranking, it finally catches and fires up with a bunch of blue smoke.
Before this, it would start up without even the choke being on, after about 5 seconds cranking the starter. Where should I go from here? It's been a long time since I have done any work on a carb, so I'm kind of at a loss here where I need to start touble shooting.
