if anyone is interested, I started a thread of my EG33 swap over in the non v8 swap section. I should be getting a full running car here in the near future, so I can get rolling on this, school work allowing.

Well it's been a few years since my last post. And with Photobucket dropping their 3rd party hosting, I went back and rehosted my photos on another site so they will show up.
So I figured maybe it was a good time for a "where is it now" update.
Well I still have the car and it still get's driven. Sometimes. Buying a house, getting married, help making a baby seems to put a damper in playing with cars any more. I was finally able to get some things cleaned out of the garage so I can start tinkering with it again. Mainly taking care of things I wanted to do when I first built it, but the lack of money while I was in school stopped me from doing it.
First things first, I did get a chance to take it to a rally cross.
It was a little damp out. The complete lack of a heater or mainly a defroster put a damper on the other runs I had that day due to the massive amount of fogging up that was happening on the window. No amount of fog-X could stop it from happening. Regardless it was fun to go throw it around in the dirt and I didn't break anything, so that was a big plus!!
I did finally get a chance to redo the front suspension more to my liking. At least get some spring perches and some spring that I know the rate of. Oh and some proper adjustable top hats. Now I can finally get rid of this camber I've been carrying around since I built it.
Not the final springs that went on it.
Last thing I've been working on is putting a dash back in it. I found a fairly nice one a while back and making it fit with all the crap that I did under the dash.
So what's next, well I have a big sheet of plastic that needs to be mounted to the underside of the car. Need to get my seats mounted and deal with some other things with the cage.
But any who, it's always good every once in awhile to pull some completed builds out of the depths just to show people that there can be an end to your project.

I'm dragging this one out of the woods, It's been a never ending project. I finally did a rally event with it a couple years ago. It was a blast!!! You can see my updates on Instagram if you want to see the never ending story of this car. I should be at the Olympus rally in November!!
