Anyone have experience with a ford 9 inch axle swap? Is it very difficult. It seems like a better option than a gslse

Here's some more photos of the beginning. My fab work is spotty but I started at 15 and it was my first time. So its expected. Im also pretty close on the bodywork just the roof and panels. But im stuck till Monday for supplys. I also bought repro fenders.

I really screwed up on buying this chasis but its all taken care of now

I haven't put the housings up to the irons, but if the bridge is covered is there any benefit to deshrouding it.

Looks smooth. Does it make you want to paint it white?

Ive been a bit lazy on posting, but anywhere here is the current situation. I decided to buy SPI epoxy, because from what I've seen its the most renowned restoration primer arround. Ive blocked and reprimed the body with my old primer, it's read for final blocking and then sealing. Ive started the panels, right now im on the driver door, ive prepped it for some primer and the remaining bodywork should be a breez.
I estimate we'll be on the road before fall.

A little mid bodywork primer, this spi epoxy is miles ahead of the other two ive used and its cheaper per mixed gallon.

Way better. No personal experience doing the swap, but I've been around them. Not a bolt in thing, but thats a good thing because it gives you the option to improve on the location and control of the rear end.

I kinda prefer the tri link setup.

I built the engine but unfortunately something went wrong with the apex seals and there are 3 that arent moving. They are kinda angled on one side and.

So turns out it was just because of how much hi tack I used and there was no real problem. oh well I didn't want to risk it.
