Bidi (build) 1st Gen

Hi everyone ✌️

(Warning) This may sound at some point strage or what not.. I have what people call ADHD.. (I don't like labels btw)
but I'll try my best to put a back story to the build, and the car.

This all started back in 1998 Portugal, when I was 5 years old..
My neighbor had a garage and a 1Gen for a couple years and then sold it... Don't know more about that one xD
But since then the 1 gen has been in my heart..

Many years have past.. I've been on the forum along time ago before.. 08/09 But never really joined since then I've studied electronics and telecommunication (Portugal), as well car mechanic (Switzerland) and worked with cars for some years.. but always bouncing back to my hobby with Mountain bikes.. right now I work with mountain bikes.. anyway enough of that..

Now..

Some time ago I came across this FB 2020... And I I tell you something.. just from looking at it i had a gut feeling this would be not just a dream come true but a challenge as well.. I don't know how to explain but it raised the air on the back of my neck, just from looking at it.

It was in a Car Garage and they wanted almost 8k.. 95*** kmI was thinking.. or this is something "sleeper" like.. or this people are insane..
Took it for a drive.. checked everything possible without using tools.. and well.. let's say for Switzerland prices, still have my mechanic game strong and got the price significantly low ^_^

I present you Bidi (name it after the clock turned 100k km)

"This was the day all strats aligned"
My buddy drove me there, I controlled the car, trade pieces of paper for it after checking and debating.

Observation:
Thank good they didn't pull a card out the sleeve.. probrably that garage didn't know what to do with a car like that and try to get rid of it..
cuz I noticed this car had ***** (yes it's *) Kilowatt track on the slip...
I've seen other RX-7 slips in Switzerland.. but all have the data in the KW... Not this one.. that means no legal limit for Kilowatt...

A Friend of a friend was dropping his drift car for Dyno and had a empty trailer on the way back.. nice hey

While he was trailing it back I was on the way to get plates... Meaning the car and I arrived home at the same time.. plates on and drive...

Was a bit dusty

Yes I've checked compression before I pay for it and it's was on the 100psi don't worry.. was actually driven hard from time to time... And I'm actually the 2 owner by the way >.<

She just have the tipical neglected from the years of use and sun burning

More to come.. as I will update everything. Here.. No secrets for the community and some on Instagram @ aka.riskas
and by the way I'm always open to new ideas or points of view, so if u guys see something wacked let me know

Best regards
Ricardo

UpdateGot 15" 4x110 wheels Interior from red to black, diferent approach from material same design.. in a way (maybe bucket seats...still in discussion) Some new wiring and now all gauges work(planning to replace all eventually) New rear latch dampersSlowly thinking about BC coils 🤔 Break booster is leaking.. probably the calipers will go as well, it is almost 40 years so 🤷🏻‍♂️ (repair all the seals and Refurb the entire break sistem... Or... New breaks "bigger... Humm still want to keep the 4x110 so still up to debate)

All gauges work, just the temp seems to read low in comparison to a termolaser thingy ting 🤣

Changing color to black or at least try 😂

13" rotor wheels

Update

Wasabi everyone
here is a update

The 7 is now on BC'sHave been struggling with my temp gauge... New cable and still nothing, the needle feels heavy to touch.. the cluster works if I give it power directly.. but not when I have it plugged in... (As in gound the sensor..) I'm starting to get a bit confused.. gauge it self has 7ish Volts.. but the end with a new cable and leads nothing >.<

Anyway here's some pics ^_^
On 15" with stock suspension..

Post BC's
