8w7 Custom Enclosure

Here is what I have decided to do to get some proper bass in the back of the FB. 85 Rx7 GSL now with a custom stereo setup. All Panels are still in replaceable shape in case I decide to go back to stock.
The Sub Box is in three pieces right now but I have an idea how to make it One piece. Every day I do a little more glassing.
First some teaser pics.

Apparently nobody seems to care about custom stereo builds. Oh well, at least my car will sound great. Next will be the go fast parts and suspension

I do agree that a w7 in the back of the car is like varying around a three year old all the time. Ut the sound is incredible and very worth it. I will be posting more pictures once I do more work on the enclosure. So far I have finished the hard parts and it sounds incredible. I have everything powered by a ARC MINI KS 125.4 and the sub is powered by a ARC MINI KS 500.1. These are incredible amps for how small they are. I did have 2 8w7 to install but that was too much power. The main goal was to keep as much trunk space as possible and have a great audio system as well. More to come. Thanks everyone!!

Custom Speaker setup

Just wanted to add some pore pictures of the custom setup. Everyone asked about the rear speaker setup. All I did was use 1/4" MDF and came up with a custom shape I liked. Then I cut away with mu Jigsaw till I got what you see here. I personally do not like it anymore because it interferes with the spare tire. I have already come up with a new rear speaker idea which I am slowly making. More later...

The best place for rear components is mounted to the bin lids. The best place for a nitrous bottle is in the driver bin.

That is all.

I thought the rear bins were the best place for the battery relocation :-)

Thats looks awesome but I am doing something a little different for the componants. If I get too crazy I will do some JL ZR800's in the bins but I don't think that will be necessary.

i think it's wicked, got any updates??
i just got a new dvd player, sub, amp, 2 6x9's, 4 6"'s and 2 tweeters installed. It's a lot of weight but sounds wicked and i like it. I was more concerned about the price of the setup.. car toys tried selling me a 'custom' 10" sub box for $600, wtf! i got the $40 one instead hah.

Good job installing it yourself and not just handing a bunch of cash to a guy to do it for you, it's got the personal touch

I can post pics of my setup if you want to have a gander of it
