85 rx7 gsl!

Finally did some digging around and found the paper to it.

Got this project for 800$

Ran great for it sitting since 2007, doing full tune up to it and most likely going to rebuild carburetor if need be. Looks fine but couldn't hurt.

Never know I'm sure this thing will be great in a few days.

Here is our Mazda and Subaru.

Car was awesome whenever I drove it home, love the sound they make when your hauling down the road! Can't wait to bring her up to date.

Nice looking find for cheap!

I'm curious as to those rims though, they look like American Racing rims and if so they'd most likely be in a 4x114.3 bolt pattern - only found on 84 and 85 GSL-SE trim model RX-7's. Could be that the previous owner did a suspension swap, which would be a good thing if you're looking for rims since the 4x110 bolt pattern is a hard to find pattern for rims that don't go on a 4 wheeler.

Oh, and welcome

Is it bad that I have a 13b starter *i believe* on my car? It seems that on the long bolt there is no thread in the starter part could i just use like a nut to hold that thread? and tighten it? or specific starter for specific car?

Why do i seem to be losing excessive amounts of voltage?!

I just recently bought the battery with the car but for some reason every time I go out to look at the car and figure something out, whenever I go to turn it over the volt meter is abnormally lower then it was before? Either i'm not grounded right, my ignition coil is bad, my alternator is bad, SOMETHING HAS TO BE FIXABLE!

On top of all this I have "Miss placed" my wallet that had all my project money in it.... so there goes my project and then some....

Looking to buy a new carburetor for a 12a either that or a turbo setup or na setup weber intake setup deal...

My plunge thing on the carburetor has broken apparently as my friend has told me... But i'd like to take it off 1 to either just get rid of it, 2 to rebuild etc etc.... either that or just cough up a little bit more cash to just not have to deal with the problems anymore lol.

Rebuild that carb. Then it won't be a problem any more! The price is right, the exercise useful.
