decided not to work on the suspension today... i decided rather that i'd like some tunes instead. so, i installed an alpine cde 9845 and four infinity speakers. sounds great and looks very nice to boot:

yes, all stock speaker sizes and locations were used. i basically just replaced the deck and speakers. remember that this setup is a bypass setup in which the oem amps are bypassed by running you own speaker wire to each speaker from the new harness.

th einfinity speakers with their integral larger tweeter (2 way) are a drop in fit. there were no fitment issues other than redrilling the mounting holes due to a larger mounting ring. my fan control light is burnt out. i checked my parts stock and i had none in stock. easy enough to change later in the week. i plan on doing the fron bushings on monday.

i was just thinking about that. i think that'll be the very next upgrade i make to the car. took it around the block, washed it, vacuumed the interior, cleaned the windows inside and out, cleaned the interior plastics..sure looks nice
i might take it for a longer drive tomorrow. i've put 13 miles on it thus far.

dayum, that's crazy. sway bar bushings is next for me. just installed a respeed crossmember. that was a huge improvement over stock. the engine mounts make the car feel like a beast
... i'm really inspired by you. i have a 3d printer at school if you want me to make any small plastic thing haha.
i'm thinking about making some of the door cups.

i was bored tonight before work and took a few more pics of the car. the car is at a stand still and awaits new door seals, hatch seal, striker seal, window seals, and emissions decals for the 13B. my daughter Isabelle wouldnt leave me alone and wanted in the car, so i let her. she really enjoys the 7! here's hoping her feelings for the 7 will continue a she gets older:

i've got about 30 miles on the car since teh swap. most is well. i'm goig to swap out the driveshaft today as i'm getting some nasty vibrations at over 50mph.. not your typical wheel bearing growl.... this is an odd one so i'll pull the driveshaft and inspect and replace it. i have one left on the shelf...
Very cute dave, is she yelling at it cause its flooded or something in that last pic? lol j/k
BTW are you getting any of my pm's? I'm starting to think email might be smarter haha

now that sounds like a cool set of parents, lol. i grew up around a body shop and rebuilding V8's.... my dad used to despise the 7's lol. my only thing that i can say to him regarding the matter is that my F-150 is a V8 and i have a 63 Falcon and a 95 Ranger, so all of my cars are not rotary, lol. but since his hate for the jap cars he has since gone for a ride in my RX-8..he has changed his mind...likes the car quite well.

Haha one ride in a rotary and you fall in love. My dad used to be a motorcycle racer so he likes things that are quick around corners and handle well so he likes the 7's, although he really wants a 70's/80's 911 to tinker with, right now he has a 88 Iroc, which is like the epidimey of a NJ car lol.

replaced the door seals, outer window seals, hatch seal, striker seal, hood rod clip, and the long rod for the headlight retractor with new oemparts. the new seals make a WORLD of difference!! next will be window channel seals...after i finish up the bearings in the rear..
