IL 85 gslse aka challenger

Hey hows it going guys! This first gen is the one I have finally chosen to build. It gonna be a fun street car that can "challenge" sport cars (miatas,240sx, fc ,etc) I want to take the track a few times a year. I bought it from a guy on this forum for 600 dollars it has been sitting since 08 it has a rebuilt motor with 21k miles on it and it has paper work to prove it.

Bad:
The owner told me someone messed with this car while the he had it probably a hater. He told me that they sliced the tires. After looking at the engine I noticed that the spark plug wires had been cut from the coils to the dizzy, they also cut a whole in the the piece that goes from the maf to the throttle body and they cut the cables for the tps. That's all that I've found so far, hopefully that is all. Also They May OR May not be a snake in Car hahah.

Dented front fenders
Brakes are completely trashed
Seats are in terrible condition

Good:
rebuilt motor with 21k mile on it.
Gslse!
Glass sunroof!
Body is in good shape

So far since I got it 5 days ago I have treated the engine with some mmo to de carb the engine and lubricate it for the first start. The plan is to work on it all winter and replace the bushing and add sport suspension and a few goodies for power. And get the body straight and ready for paint.

My plan is to have a very light car with decent power that I can daily drive and have some fun on the streets with. I hope to accomplish this by removing all the stuff that dosent carry its weight except for the heater, I'm also thinking of making a fiber glass hood to help me with this goal. And for power I wanna add a header with a 2.5 in exhaust and a s4 intake manifold and port the throttle body and also get the pineapple racing inserts and get a k&n air filter. I'm hoping to have 145 to the wheels. I'm thinking its a good goal that can be reached. For the suspension I want to get rb springs suspension technic sway bars and poly bushings all around, custom top strut bars and a few custom braces. For the brakes stainless steel lines with hawk pads. And for the exterior Mariah gtu wing, custom front and rear diffuser.

So I've been working on the 7 during my days off . So far I replaced the starter got a new tps and flush out the gas from the tank and lines. I cranked it a few times and it sound like it wants to start and I was going to keep working on it until I had a family emergency that day so I've been waiting for my next day off to trouble shoot the ignition. I feel like it just might be flooded with the mmo and gas so I will de flood it tomorow and check for spark.

I also picked up a few goodies for the car thanks my best friend craigslist! I've been looking non stop for rare parts for my build and luckily I found a few...
First I found a guy in Ohio selling a wing and louvers for 150!! On my way to Ohio he mentioned he had some rims he would also want to get rid of. Unfortunately they were for the 4x110 bolt pattern but I still picked them up cause the price was way to good to pass up.

Secondly I found a omp wrc FIA aproved seat that fitted my height and wait perfectly. And I also picked up some original tmc motorsports springs from a member.

So I finally got everything to work properly but it's still not starting. So I decided to change the fuel pump and filter and I found the problem! The fuel pump was super clogged up and the line was filled with gunk. I will be replacing the pump and filter once my hard lines have arrived.

Just saw your thread - that's an awesome deal on the car and the goodies, nice! Good luck on the build. I'll be watching your progress.

BTW, was your "move" with the uhaul a local move or a one way? I did the same deal to get mine from my parents place, and they wouldn't rent me the pickup - had to rent the small box truck. Cost me a bunch more to do it that way so I'm just curious.
