Complete 1979 Series 1 Rebuild Project
Hi All,
I've been a member of this forum for the last couple of months since I purchased a 1979 RX7 Series 1 for a restoration project.
I had every intention to do a 'build thread' from the moment I purchased the car, but unfortunately, my focus was actually on work on the car, rather than became a web page guru
Having said this, I have ensured that I took a lot of pictures as the project progressed, so I will not commence my build thread and back date the information and the pictures so you can get an idea of how the project started, is progressing and what the ultimate aim will be.
So, to get the ball rolling, here are some pictures of the 'project' when I first got my hands on it.
The restoration project is occurring in Adelaide, South Australia.
There's a lot of bumps, dents, rust, missing parts, but it is still road worthy and registered, so hopefully when things are 'fixed' it will be back on the road.
I have already had some great advice from members, including Warick from WJM Rotaries, and I'm sure there will be more questions and assistance required as the restoration rolls on.
It will be a nice S1 once it's all finished, but there's a long road ahead I think.
I look forward to adding to this thread as time allows.
Cheers,
Todd
EDIT: Apologies for the rotation of the images...it's the way the website uploaded them!!! If anyone knows a fix, I will be happy to adjust.

I'm going to try and get some more pics up this week as the project is well and truely underway.
[QUOTE=mustanghammer;11816028]Its just too easy to make a joke about your up-side down photos from the "Down Under" so I won't
We might be from down under but at least our steering wheel is on the right [rite] side
