That's so awesome! Love that your kids are in to helping out. They'll remember that forever. Can't wait to see it all painted up!
thanks... sadly they havent come out as much cause Dad doesnt always give them things to do because I am trying to figure it out as I go hahaha
The girl in the picture has been out a lot.. the boys.. here and there.. the youngest girl (9yrs) has helped some too... they all love to come play on it when I have things for them to do...
So a bunch of guys who have had a hand in the wiring were all able to come down on the same night on Wednesday... they got more talking done than work, but excited to say we sorted some wiring out and were able to power the ecu from ignition key and read the map that came on it... so a couple more trips down and we will be on the way to firing this girl up...
also didnt feel like paying $140 per bracket for seat mounts.. so I designed and made my own.. still have to cut the passenger side but it has some funky mounting locations...
decided to go ahead and take a chance on the changes I had made to the design of the drivers mount.. tape measure measurements and guesses on the changes and voila... almost sits flat.. it is about an inch higher on the passenger side once seat is on the mount.. tonight I should finish up welding the seat to the mount...
This car is gonna be a beast, been following the thread for a while, but never looked up where Jordan was. Come to find out it's only 40 minutes from me. When this is done, we need a rx7 cruise with people from the cities.

Yeah Apple Valley isnt a bad drive... I was just up near there the other night.. got a few good local guys... (that I know of)
Welcome to swing by if you are in the area...
still tinkering with wiring hahaha.. slowly..
mostly waiting on buddies for various things.. its kinda a puzzle.. cant do this until that is done etc...
after some work being done over the last week or so I got to my doors and discovered my ds door was bent... didnt want to spend $100+ on a tool for pulling dents so I used some bolts, some heat and a vice grip haha.. minimal bondo used despite what it appears... it has to be sanded down yet
Was lazy and didnt bother fixing the lower left front guard.. until the primer went on I didnt think it would show that much.. um yeah so
but I fixed it
top pic is factory untouched door... bottom pic is my repaired door
started the sanding and buffing process... should be done this weekend if all goes well.. then I just need to paint the light covers and gas cover.. duh... missed those when we painted.. did discover some stripes in the paint but they can be fixed easily.. probably next winter...
