83 rx7 revived, help???
hey everyone ok so for starters im a noob to the rotary, but i am super excited.
i have made a few modifications but am in desperate need of modding the heart of the machine.
what carb setup should i do? where can i get the upper and lower intake manifolds and the carb?
i was planning on building my own and making it custom fit whatever carburetor i choose to go with.

welcome to the love hate relationship that is rotary. The best place for carbs and manifolds is here in the for sale part of the forum. Otherwise racingbeat.com has all you need. Only thing you need to think about is which carb you want 4 barrel holley with choke for easy cold starts or 48ida weber no choke. good luck and nice rx7 man

thanks ill check out racingbeat i wanted a sterling nikki but he is out of commission for god knows how long so im s.o.l on that what do you recommend for good power in the low and high band range im putting a turbo in and feeding it into the carb. I started by rough sanding it with a 180 grit sand paper and cleaning it with carb cleaner to get all the black crap off. then my friend took it to a polishing wheel and used a high grit cleaning wax then to a steel and chrome wax on a buffing wheel after 4 hours this is what we got i will post another pic of what it looks like on the car.

we also used a pneumatic grinding wheel with the plastic abrasive wheel it shaves off only the top layer of the housing that was before polishing so that it could be as smooth as possible for the polishing wheel and cream
