Front drilled and slotted rotors with new bearings and pads, Moog pitman and idler arms, Racing Beat header/manifold aluminum heat shield, 2000 Ford Contour SVT electric fan...close to 3500 cfms, dual fan controller...
If I trim it to clear the hose outlets the bottom outlet would've been inside the fan...so that was a no no and I sent it back.
And I when thought that those were the closest ones and I will have to hang a fan thru the fins I found a dual fan set with shroud made by Derale....was close to $200.00 more that the Contour fan but it's all about the measurements and the CFMs.... close to 2800 CFMs...it's half a inch smaller from the 12 inch measurement between the outlets and only two inches wider that the radiator but it's all edge outside the fans...
I will post pics and a update as soon as I get the fan on the mail...
Got some brake hardware kits from Atkins Rotary and the fuel lid rubber bump stops.
I'm just waiting today to get in the mail the outside window rubber weatherstrip that goes outside the door and also waiting for the last in existence new rear caliper boot kit from Mazda😎...
Well...the rear is done... New shocks, new springs, rebuilt brake calipers, new brake hard lines, new braided lines, new slotted/drilled rotors, new screw on wheel studs, new brake pads, new hardware and new rubber boots, new swaybar end links and new Energy Suspension bushings everywhere..... Everything is new..
Now to finish the front end...

Finally....after measuring, cutting, shortening, shaping, fabricating, putting back again, sanding and painting....the fan shroud is on the new aluminum radiator and installed on the 7.
Now to finish the cooling I need to wire the dual fan controller and the relays .
New water pump, new thermostat, new 3 row radiator, new custom fan and shroud, new P2M silicone radiator hoses and finished it up with a dual fan controller all wired in...
Happy that I can cross out another item on the lost and waiting for the aluminum radiator hose clamps from P2M....😎
Nice! I have to ask where you got the idler arm, Moog right? All the usual places seem to be out of stock...got a link?
Thanks...I got the idler arm from a friend that had bought two of them and after me bugging him about not been able to find one he sold it to me.....but I just looked and this came up...
Mazdatrix has one they say it's heavy duty...a little pricey...
Well...today I installed the new clutch slave cylinder and the braided clutch line from P2M, painted the clutch and brake master cylinders and also got on the mail and installed the P2M aluminum radiator hose clamps on the P2M silicone hoses... Looks pretty good😎....and getting closer to finishing....👍
Got more parts done. I tried to get the coil spring apart from the strut, used all my tricks and did not work. Took them to an old school mechanic near my house and 2 mins and $20.00 later he got them appart🤷♂️
Here is the comparison between the old factory spring with the TMC Racing lowering spring that I'm installing...
And also got the new ball joints pressed in to the lower control arms...
Now to clean, paint and install everything back...
I bought them out of a retired RX7 SCCA driver. He raced RX7s and I bought the springs from him. The set was a NOS set he had in storage.. they don't make them anymore.. 🤔I think I got the last NOS complete set in the world...😂🤣😂
I also got lower control arms, complete like new tail lights set, a Racing Beat header, that came out to be for a 13b but I sold it and bought the Racing Beat Road Race header that I got now....and some other little odds and ends...

Amazing progress thus far!! Its nice to see the detail you putting into this restoration!
Thanks a lot. It's been a long road....2 years so far...a lot of time, a little money, sweat, bloody knuckles.....but it's all worth it...
Just need to finish the front end, get her started and moving on her power and then cleaning the engine bay and paint the interior....later muffler, inspection and drive her like I stole her...😂🤣
