Mild setback. Bled the brakes and the rear calipers are dragging. No rust. The pistons and the bore look clean. Pins are perfect as well. E brake not connected.I disassembled the rear calipers and reassembled but have not re bled the brakes yet.

on a happier note, I got my mounts from Scott.

I have much more faith in this transmission bracket than the mods I did to the stock one. I'm sure i'll be pleased. I almost went with Banzai, but I was leery of the bolt through design. Scott just happened to introduce the engine mounts around the same time. So here we are.

Well, I’ve gone for a few successful low pressure stress tests. I almost made it to my hometown car show over Memorial Day weekend, but a few rear end suspension issues had me stumped. Alas, a take it apart and put it all seems good. Did some driving on I-90. Runs smooth, AFR hangs around 14.7 at freeway.

Sunday I’m attending a car show. Some of my fellow forum members are scheduled to be there as well. Old School Reunion . I’ll share later.

This is the level of build we should all aspire to do with our 1st gen RX7's.

Some recent trips. Two car shows and a day out with my wife.

Congratulations! It's been like 8 years to get the car to this point where you can start enjoying it. I'm sure you know by now that it will never be completely done. Seems there is always something more to accomplish. Anyways, good to see you both back on the road. Great job!

Update. My wheel offset is not right and my tires just barely rub the fender. I figure that I can go from a 205/50R15 to a 185/55R15 and I would clear while maintaining tire height. I’m going to need to do a suspension upgrade as well as I’m still 100 per cent stock. I also have an issue with my resonator hanging too low.

but, I got my windshield remounted. It was installed with too thick of a bead and the trim did not fit. While I was at it, I blasted and Cerakoted the windshield trim, wiper arms, door handles, sun roof bits, hatch hinges and louvers.

this pretty much closes the exterior, outside of replacing the fog lights. Enjoy.

It’s Black Velvet. I felt that keeping away from a black gloss or semi gloss would keep the focus on the blue paint. I think it works. Gotta live with it now.
