TTRX7Pete's 1993 JDM Type-RZ Build (will be pic heavy)

Hello! By way of introduction, this is my 4th RX-7, and my 3rd FD3S. I imported this car through Top Rank Importers. Car has roughly 56k miles on it and is 1 of 150 Type-RZ FD3S RX-7s in the world. So needless to say, I'm in love all over again. My first RX-7 was an 88 Turbo II which is what made me fall in love with the rotary engine. I soon picked up a 1993 Vintage Red RX-7 Touring which I later rebuilt lovingly in my garage and put a T-78 GReddy turbo on. I sold that one and later picked up a 1993 RX-7 base model in Chaste White which I kept twinturbo but changed to non-sequential.

Below is a picture of the RX-7 when it was being shipped from California to my home in Florida.

The car at home in Florida and some shots of the interior.

The car was in pretty immaculate condition considering its trip from Japan to the USA. The paint was in fantastic shape. Interior is mint as far as I'm concerned. Only issue I had was the air conditioning wasn't properly functioning, but I've since fixed it.

So now on to the plans!

Stage 1: (parts currently waiting to be installed)

Ohlins DFV Coilovers (installed as of 7/18/20)
Full Paint Correction, detailing, and ceramic coating (scheduled for 7/25/20)

Koyo N-Flo Radiator
Mishimoto Silicone Radiator Hoses
AEM UEGO Wideband O2
Pettit AST
Pettit Airpump Removal kit with Pulleys
Pettit TKT Off-Road Intakes
GReddy Elbow
GReddy Type-R Blow Off Valve
Magnecor Spark Plug Wires
Advan RG-D2 Gloss Black Wheels 18x9.5 +45 front and 18x10 +35 rear with Bridgestone RE-71R tires 265/35/18 & 285/30/18 respectively
Stainless Steel Clutch Line from Sakebomb Garage

Stage 2: (parts to order)

HKS EVC-S Boost Controller
Front strut tower bar
Upgraded Sway Bars
Defi EGT Gauge
Pioneer Head unit with wireless Apple Carplay
Pioneer speakers
Shine Auto FEED Replica sideskirts
Shine Auto Rear Diffuser
Sakebomb Garage Dual Catalytic Converters
Sakebomb Garage Headlight Upgrade Kit (hoping by then LED!)
Sakebomb Garage Wilwood Big Brake Kit

Stage 3: (in good time...)

Upgraded Ignition System

Stay Tuned! This thread will hopefully become picture heavy.

Little more before and after on the paint...

Also have a 99spec wing on the way with 99spec taillights.

Plan to also add the Odula CF wing insert.

Finally starting my engine modifications.... adding pulleys, SMIC, intake, AST, and BOV at this point. Radiator and new hoses will have to wait until after hurricane season is over.

Updated shots of the car now rocking some new shoes and a 99 Spec Wing. Car is going full on Bat-Mobile!

Advan RG-D2s with Advan Neova AD08R Tires:
F: 18x9.5 +45 --- 255/35/18
R: 18x10 +35 --- 285/30/18

Ride Height on the Ohlins DFV are set to 25" front and 25.5" rear (measured floor to fender)

Car will be in to get an alignment after I let the car settle a bit.

New 99 Spec Taillights from Mazda will be on the car later this week I'll have updated pics of the rear after I get them put on. Finishing up the engine mods this week and will have some new parts going on:

FEED Front Strut Tower Bar
FEED Oil Cap
FEED Brake Fluid Cap
FEED Radiator Cap
HKS EVC-S Boost Controller

Might wanna tuck your front wire harness above the frame rail. That front fitment is known to rub. Looks great. Any plans for center caps?
