This build is on my 1994 Chaste White FD, I've had it for a few years, since I was 19 I believe, and will give details from day one up to now. I will show plenty of pictures of progress, I was currently working with another fd project but got rid of it to focus on this one.
I live in Louisiana and went to Houston to find this rx7, my dream car.

First day that I unloaded it..

New air filters and red top optima..

rx8 and cx7 emblem

LS1 Aluminum Block..

Samberg Subframe..

Don't know if I want to keep the Spirit R Wing on or the Low Profile Spoiler..

Interior coming back out and taking parts off to get power coated right now..

I REALLY REALLY want a set of Super Advan V2s when I can enough extra cash..

Well as of now I am waiting for some swap parts to come in and get that power coated before being installed, I'd like to get the interior and engine bay painted while there is no engine in at the moment. Also while I will be taking the rest of the interior out I will lay down some dynamat xtreme. I will try my best to finish this car and get it on the road as fast as I can.

Been a long long time I updated this thread. After a couple of LS engine and rx7s later I'm back with an empty car. Recently pulled it out and started working on it. Here are a few updates to bring it to speed..
The engine bay was prepped and primed and I wanted to go with a black paint, I am very satisfied with the results of the black.

I traded my T56 and sold the LS1 then recently picked up another LS1/T56

I got the Subframe and Diff Mount in.

The front wells are coated with 3M Rubberized Undercoating, I need to get around to getting the back done, I’d really like to get most of the under side of the car done..

Got coilovers installed and doors taken off for paint..

Intake, new filters, driveshaft, master cylinder, msd wires, and corvette fuel filter.. I also have a dakota digital speedo correction module somewhere.. A radiator is one of the last things on my list, thinking of going with a mishimoto..

I last left off only working on the FD on the weekends because of living in an apartment with no room for the car with me. My fiancé and I was looking for a house and new jobs and found what we were looking for in Baton Rouge. The build came to a pause while we looked and moved from Houma to Baton Rouge. We closed on our house July 29, 2016, we were very excited as first time home owners! The FD stayed down but it was stripped down for paint, everything that was to go back in had been moved. Two weeks after closing the neighborhood flooded.*The past year I have been mostly putting time into the house, its mostly rebuilt with little trim left here and there. I have started working on the build again, and see something is up with photobucket when I tried uploading my progress, sorry if some of the pictures are repeated.
I lost pretty much everything for the car but have been collecting parts and almost back to where I was before I had to almost start all over.
Was going to be my engine later on but sadly it flooded

Needed a better cleaning but it went in anyways, looks like GReddy strut bar will clear

New wire harness and tuned PCM from Wiring Specialties, still needs to be installed

Got the wheels I’m been dreaming of, Yokahoma Super Avan V2s

Picked up a roller/shell to get some parts off of as well. I reserved a trailer in advance from U-Haul and they ended up sending a dolly to location, that was fun loading the car on that. May keep it for future build or sell it, not sure yet. Played around with this one for a few days. The biggest pain was transferring over the chassis harness but glad its done

LBR Dash Vent w/ RX-7 logo, nothing was wrong with the factory one just couldn’t pass up on this one

FEED style fenders from Group A Motoring, going to love when these go on, will probably need to get wider wheels also

Needed to get some replacement seats, I took the red and black leather skins off my old seats to swap over but they are damaged pretty bad :[ Hog Ring pliers are a good tool for this for those who need to recover seats

Organized me a shelve and table to work with until I can build a Shop

Pulled the engine/trans back out, needs a new clutch, starter, and alternator
The intake tubes are powder coated Red, they used to be wrapped, kind of mocked them up for now. When I get a Samberg Roll Bar it will go the same color.

So this last portion of an update was just getting back to where I was. My paint guy can’t do the job anymore, so I’ll have to find another one. I welcome anyone who would like to come and help with the build or see it.
Street Faction Bash Bar, Cables for battery relocation, a few interior parts, AMW oil catch can, Mishimoto Radiator and condenser, iPad Mini dash install in the making.

I'm doing what I can when I can, I have a few house projects going on and it gets dark right after I get home from work, I use time in the evenings to read threads and write ups to help me plan the next step.

It will still be a long time before my FD will be ready but for the time being I picked up a 280z a few months ago to drive while I take my time to work on this build. The Z needed way more work than what was lead on but its just about wrapped up, I made a build thread on it to show the progress, its pictured with my FD. In the next coming weeks I will scrape the FatMat out to spray Lizard Skin. I plan on taking the project on with a heat gun and scraper, if anyone has done the same I'm open to suggestions. I got a new Samberg subframe getting powdered coated, my first one was sold with the other FD. So I gave it a wash and cleared out the interior.

Removed most the FatMat, got at it with a heat gun and scraper. It’s not going to be completely removed but a little leftover residue won’t hurt to be covered by Lizard Skin. Next time we can a day when it’s warm and doesn’t rain I’ll spray the Lizard Skin.

Also starting the do videos, got my first one below. I know it sucks but I’ll have plenty to do and time to get better.
I scraped off everything I needed to remove. I do need to get some dry ice for the remaining factory sound deadening, I tried today but the market was out. I did also get the interior harness and pedals out. Just need a good day and I'll be good to spray.

Video update. I am open to suggestions to make better videos, all feedback is welcome.
I got some dry ice to remove some deadener, cleaned and scuffed the surface, and sprayed two coats of Lizard Skin Sound Control. Might be able to spray the Ceramic Insulation tomorrow.

I used Friction Tape to rewrap a wire harness, I did this on the door harnesses and will do it to the dash harness as well.

Test fitted 6.5" speakers in the doors. The doors weren't a priority and was very hard to reach behind to pop tabs out so i just taped over them, you won't see that from an airplane.

Already scratched up some on my new surface when moving the harness around in the hatch, but it'll be covered up with a carpet anyways.

Videos
I used goo gone and applied that to take the glue off the firewall pad/mat. I traced the outline and holes with a silver sharpie then cut the ozite padding with some scissors and xacto knife. It seemed like it was a lot harder to get back in than it was to come out, I took it like 7 years ago though. The A/C components wasn't fun either, it was the worry of putting too much pressure and something breaking. Most of the smaller interior pieces were in containers, I sorted through them and put them into place. The interior is mocked up for now, the point is to see what I still have and what I still need to get. The carpet will need some heat before going back in, a warm sunny day will be needed for that.
