That's the color I was thinking on doing some of my parts, or maybe a little darker.

Looking good.

I had to lighten up the color I had to more closely match the wiggins clamp purple. Translucent violet is probably the color you want. That is a bit darker than what you see.

The car will stay red. I may do a vinyl wrap this winter to change things up a bit if I get a different front bumper. Not sure though. If I was to paint it, which will definitely not happen this year I would stick with red.

Most of the parts will be black (LIM, UIM, IC piping, intercooler end tanks.) with some purple highlights. I hope it comes out looking good in a red engine bay. I think keeping most things black will help that. We shall see.

That looks great! Didn't think about powder coating engine parts, I imagine it'd hold up to the heat well?

It should be fine, many people powder coat their engines. It is rated to 250 degrees F continous.

Haha, me too, me too. I am keeping most of the parts black with only a few purple accents to match the wiggins clamps I have

Black and bright purple has always been a combo I like. Interested to see it in a red car though.

I finished the housing and irons yesterday. I messed up the rear housing and added too much purple over the silver base coat so it came out darker than the other housing. Oh well, it will stay like that.

Block looks great, since my new setup will be almost all black and the car is also black I was even thinking about painting my engine bay with a similar color but a little darker.

Thanks all. Tem, I was thinking of redoing the housing but decided against it because I was nervous about sandblasting it and messing up something. So it will stay as is. I figure once it is in the car no one will be able to tell.

Check mannykillers build thread, he has a black car with a similar color engine bay.

In a few weeks I will head back to IRP and observe the engine build process and consume all pepperoni pizza in sight.

Sometime between now and April. I am deciding if I want to change part of my setup, right now it is about 90% that I will change.
