If my engine turns out 1/2 as nice as this I'll be happy. I'm glad you're blazing the trail for me so I'll be able to follow along with my own car XD

Are you calling me an ******* I don't understand that comment. I will be making the UIM at a later date, Deals gap is too close to be making something like that. Hopefully I will be able to drive the car around the block this saturday. I still have a ton of work to complete though .

I have not gone to bed earlier than 2AM this whole week because of this car, what sucks is I have to wake up at 6:30 am to go to work, oh well, it will be worth it in the end.... I hope.

^ No, authentic wiggins are all purple. There are other manufactures that make a clamp with a simmilar style and those are available in different colors. Vibrant is one such company.

Johnny's choices are limited because he's running Evans with a zero psi cap.

I've got an idea for ya big J, just sit tight

With the amount of progress you've been posting lately, I'm not surprised. It's gonna feel great to have it running in time for DGRR!

Is 3 inch intercooler piping better than 2.75 for any reason? It looks like you have 3 inch piping, I am just curious what advantages it could have. Everything looks very well done, congrats on the nice setup.

It will definately be nice to drive it again. I stay out of the FD picture thread because I get jelous of the running FD's. I still have a ton to do and a few more late nights needed to complete the car.

There are three reasons for going with 3" piping.

1. Wiggins clamps are not available in 2.75"
2. I wanted to run a bigger throttle body.
3. This is the main reason, IMO on a stock FD Mazda engineers decided to use 2.75" piping. The stock FD makes 255 FWHP. I am essentially doubling the power of the engine, therefore, doubling the air flow (roughly). It only make sense to me to step up the piping size a bit because of the increased air flow.

Some engineers would argue smaller pipe diameter is beneficial for air velocity/response.

Word, the 2.75" pipe sucks for using cool clamps. I had to make special adapters and that made my pipes look a little funny.

How are you guys mounting your AN fuel lines to the bottom of the car? I'm not having good luck making it look clean and secure.
