The rebuild of the Lady

We have a new project car in, so I thought I would keep a build thread for it on here.

New Project

"The Lady" as it is lovingly known to its owner is in for a makeover prior to its export to the States.

The list of work is quite long

Interior.
New clocks
New Seats
Steering wheel
Sound system

Exterior
Prep body for a full respray
Design and make new front bumper
Lower carbon skirts
Strip wheels repair and respray

Manufacture intercooler and radiator
New Headlights
New brakes.

Good little project I think

This is the car in the current state

She has had a hard life

First job, having sourced a new door was to fix the wheels. Stripping them took a little longer than expected and involved snapping a large number of Torque bits!

At 30 nuts and bolts a wheel all of which were thread locked into place, it was a mission to strip them down.

They are however coming up a treat

I'm subscribing because I want to see how this one turns out. A lot of work, but the potential is definitely there. I like the wheel lip repairs. You have a TIG?

Thanks for the interest.

Yes we have a TIG, we will be making all of the intercoolers and radiators in house too. Likewise we will be manufacturing the bumper in house as we are able to design, mould and layup grp/carbon products as well.

I hope you're not restoring that bumper. Other than that, this seems like a promising build.
