oh its a pretty simple idea.. using a processor and FET's to switch power on / off.
where something like this is useful is on a project like yours.

the gist of it is having the option to remove relays and useless wiring in place of these devices.

just imagine having one box (or a few) where you feed it a main source of power (say 60amps?) and you then run all your inputs to it (blinker signals, headlight switch, brake switch, etc) and run your outputs to the same box(es).

now the wonderful piece of any cool pdm is the software, where a user is able to program his own logic to enable / disable outputs. just use your imagination to come up with w/e combo you wanted but something i'd like is a push button starter without the mess of the additional wiring with typical relays.. and the off/accs/on/start positions using a single start-button.

these are parts of the logical-state crap i was talking about. so in short, grab some FETS, wire 'em to a micro controller and write some code - tada! a backyard pdm and less wiring in the chassis! :-)

It's funny your mentioning this. I was designing a digital circuit for my PB start and then decided to use a PIC controller to simplify the logic and keep the PCB board smaller. I don't like the idea of having the push button start on the car if it isn't going to eliminate the key like the relay method uses. Otherwise, what's the point?

I went with Powerflex, your other option is superpro, not much of a price difference, probably not much of a performance difference either.

I got atomic rex pillow ***** at the same time and he gave me a big discount on the powerflex bushings too. I'd get it all from him, I was happy with his service.

If you havn't finished with the wiring harness.... Would you be willing to post detailed pictures of each plug close up and exactly what they are? That would be a valuable asset to this forum.. I've been looking for something like that for so long it's ridiculous!!!

pm sent...

I know!! Especially air bags just in case an accident happens Just playing! lol. I got a 95 as well. Ive torn apart and redid engine harnesses a good amount of times but ive yet to commit to the front harness. There is some simplifying you can do to the front harness that ive noticed with the fan relays and the relay box by the radiator. Now if you did remove the abs then you could either mount all your fuseboxes, battery, or whatever you want in that space. Engine harness already looks tucked other than the wires feeding to passenger side but you could easily run them through the tranny tunnel. I planned on doing that to mine with a 25pin deutch connector or however you spell it somewhere on the tranny tunnel then making a pigtail off that so if i ever decided to switch from Power FC to Haltech then wiring should be quick and simple. Def looking forward to what you going to do with the wiring

I dont know if you bought the suspension bushing yet but i bought the ebay delrin kit and installed it went together well. I made my own delrin for the front struts and engine mounts.

I'm offering free shipping on bushing kits right now. I stock Powerflex bushings as well as AtomicRex pillow ***** (street and race versions) and OEM Mazda pillow *****. I'll be selling some high quality toe links and trailing arms pretty soon in case you want to upgrade them rather than replace bushings on the stock pieces. Send me a private message if you need anything. All orders go out the same day or next business day

I'm subscribed to this thread to see how the wire tuck and the rest of the car comes out
