Just noticed you O ring the I lets where the TB bolts too, nice. My engine builder does the exact same thing on his PP motors. Much better than the racing beat style where silicone and clamps are used like a lot of people other people use. Have you decided on the compression of the 4rotor rotors yet?

There are some custom titanium being tested right now over here in the uk, over 100 miles so far and no problems yet.

We all know Logan is a closet drifter. Last time I was at the shop snooping around, I found a hidden corner and discovered some hard evidence. A set of 19x12 -15 wheels with some 205s on them, a flat billed hat and skinny jeans. He sneaks out at night to the local "scene", hard parks it and calls everyone bro..

Dang, Lenny I thought that was going to be a secret? lol

On a side note, do you like the drysump/ alternator bracket assembly in the pic? I am machining up a duplicate for your car. So that is how it will look

I was going to ask how that was working out, if youve had a chance to really test it at all. But yea it looks nice Also it seems like you have your new slide throttle setup on there, how does that seem to be doing? Is that the new design or the older one that you were having some binding issues with?

Its working great, after taking all the measurements I machined the bracket out of a piece of .75" aluminum. Very sturdy, no flex and I though it turned out nice. A lot of lines to route, but otherwise we like the external pump and how its operating. Did free revs to 9-10k and she is working nice already.

The slide throttle is a new one, the 1st design used teflon sliding surfaces and was hard to operate under load. This one I machined myself, and uses flat roller bearings, brass slider. VERY easy actuation even under full vaccum. Its my own very simple design all done on a manual mill. Turned out very nice looking though!

Well, that would save you a lot of money because all we have to do is run it open header Easy as cake lol. Now the doctor visit for bleeding eardrums however.... kinda expensive.

Unfortunately my car will be coming back to PA where we have emissions testing. I remember when I sort of jokingly asked Logan if he things my car would pass an emissions test. It was sort of like when you make funny sounds to your dog and they **** their head to the side and just stare at you. Lol, he was like wtf are emissions

Beautiful! You are living a rotaryhead's dream! Thanks for sharing that with us

One question! What Engine management (ECU) are you planning to use? you're going to manage 12 sparkplugs, and 12 ignition coils. So I guess the maping will be a small challange when the engine is assembled and ready to be tuned. What are your plans for the Engine Management? I know that the 767 and 787 used 3 sparkplugs per rotorhouse. So it will be very interesting to see what kind of sollution you choose for the engine management!

Both projects are near a standstill at the moment. So much work to get caught up on, no time to do more R+D. Will have to create time soon however, its the only way we make new cool parts to sell to customers

It is using the Electromotive Tec3R, and we have a solution for the 12 spark plugs. Will be a little complex but not insane. Should run quite nice!

Here are some old pics of the 3-rotor assembled, and going into the new home/ nissan S14.

The s14 looks brilliant. Is it a full on race car now or you going to use it on the streets? Have you started assembly on the 4rotor?

I have been looking at 13B NA setups lately as I planning a track only car in the near furutre. A number of people are making 350fwhp but in different ways, some with PP setups and others with quad TBs on bridge ports, obviously there's more to the engine than the porting. What sort of HP have you had out of 13Bs and which setup did you find best?

Thanks, the S14 is primary for track use but it still gets driven on the streets for break-in or wild rides.

The 4 rotor is very close to assembly, hit major speed bumps in the rotor/balancing. Otherwise she is ready.

We havent had time to re-visit the high hp n/a 2 rotor stuff, and dont really need to. Some quick division of our 3 rotor horsepower would make a 318 rwhp 2-rotor with semi p-port (identical setup) If we reach 500rwhp with the 20b that is a 334 rwhp 13b. Until the 4 rotor makes more power "per rotor" than the 3-rotor, semi p-port is still king for highest horsepower recorded.

I like how you say "until the 4 rotor makes more power per rotor" are you expecting it to do that? Even with it being just PP.

I would expect the 3 plugs per rotor is going to help squeeze out that little bit extra for it to make more hp per rotor, but couldn't you do that to the 20B and get the same gains?

I am still hopeful that the full p-port will make more power, and if I had to guess maybe with a slightly less wide torque curve. That would be a victory for both setups if that happens. The 20b actually got the triple spark plug mod too, didn't want to play favorites

We still are breaking in the 20b, but bad weather has pretty much put an end to that.. Here is a very short in-car video driving the Nissan for break-in.

Have you found any difference in the engine 'feel' with the triple spark plugs in the s14?

They are set to zero split and i don't even perceive any difference. Which is awesome, i was afraid startup/idle or low rpm would be difficult to keep normal. Other good news is static compression reading is the same. So losing some compression is a wives tail :-)
