Update. Tonight, Maurice, aka the Chinaman on the forum, has received the parts he needs to polish and is going to be posting pictures as he polishes things up. He is the man and makes thing look perfect, no swirl marks....

Ramy- I totally see your point, however, one thing I havent seen in drag racing is the front end damage from debris, chips, ect. that I see on the track cars. Then again I am only around the old mans SCCA circuit with my pops, so maybe its less with these cars. My worry would be trying to repair the carbon without painting it, after a race my dad consistently has to respray his front....

Thanks man thats a great compliment. It is a dream come true for me.
The difference is that the 20B is more expensive to rebuild...You can use 13B housings, ect, but multiply the number of other stuff you need.

It would depend if you needed the housing re-ported, the sleeves taken out again, ect.
Basically how much damage was caused in the first place, do you need new housings, what new seals.... It is really hard to say.

But that's pennies on the dollar compared to what it costs to fix broken drivetrain and suspension components from drag racing Or even worse, going sideways into the wall/barrier

Oh and re: the chips etc, that's what 3M clear is for

I LOVE your dad's car btw :bigthumb

Anyone can slap together a motor. Having said that, the average 20B rebuild costs approx $8,000.
