Looking good. Very aggressive and nicely done. I should get my copy soon then, if it's the November issue so that makes rotaries featured in several of the last issues. Kudos.

So how did everything finalize out? You got everything up and running? Did you take it to the dyno? Going to bring it to DGRR?

Awesome work, Phil. I'll have to try and get hold of a copy of the mag here in the UK, somehow!

Look forward to more updates/pics, and details of how it's running.

Have you heard of problem such as waiting on parts?? It's a common problem for many and some vendors make you wait and out of my control. Like many who build cars on the forum or anywhere especially customized parts, people like me have to wait. Just to get your facts straight , car has been to one show... SEMA. Once I get the key components, engine will be pulled and will take time to so it right. I'm not rushing things so some of you can hear it etc. also pics I'm posting recently was take 6 months ago and now sharing.

I wrote this long response to this but, I'll be kind and just say, please stay away from this thread and my life please. I've already asked you of this before and I seem to remember we both agreed.

G,
Making claims like that are like the fat girl at a beauty show claiming that the nicer more pretty girls won because "it was rigged". Please... get a life and stop crying and acting like an old *****. oh wait...

Gordon,

I haven't addressed you directly for years, as I considered you dead to me. But, all good things must come to an end.

Please tell the entire community the details of how you were able to prove the DGRR car show was rigged, and how you caught me cheating. The more the better......I can't wait to hear this.

Oh, and FYI---there will be ZERO moderator actions in this thread. No deleting, no editing, nothing.

The truth shall set us free, right ?

And for those curious, what Phil quoted in post #1451 is what was originally posted publicly in post #1450. Phil saw the post, quoted it and responded, and in the meantime the post was edited by it's author to be just a little bit different.

Oh Boy...

Let me provide some facts..
DGRR 2011 was.. Lets see... 2.5 years ago?? Per conversation in hand, let me provide some back ground. This issue was brought up AT the event, DGRR 2011, After the event, and weeks after, months after, and now... years after. Everytime this issue is brought up, it was brought up by a handful of people who either takes things too seriously about the car show or people who THINKS their car is FAR SUPERIOR than others. Either case, I'm going to provide ONE MORE TIME, some FACTS!!!!

1. DGRR 2011 was 2.5 years AGO!!
2. DGRR 2011 Best of Show winner was going to get a Modified Feature
3. Modified Magazine SENT 2 guys to cover the event and also DECIDE on the car they wanted to FEATURE! Again, THEY WERE SENT TO DECIDE THE BEST OF Show WINNER!!!! NOT I, Not the Judges, but Modified People!!!!
4. I assigned 4 judges from the rotary community.
5. In case of tie, I was the tie breaker... But in case of Best of Show, Modified Magazine guys were. Again, MODIFIED Mag!!
6. Gordon's CAR DID NOT deserve it!!! It was cross the board agreement!!!
7. Modified guys did NOT pick Gordon's Car
8. Modified guys did NOT pick Hayes Car
9. Modified Guys PICKED RICH aka GoodfellaFD3S' FD
10. Have any of you seen three of these cars IN PERSON??? Because Rich's Paint was flawless, Interior was clean and flawless with all new plastics, Made higher power than all three cars, had Spirit R Seats, had other rare parts, had great mod list, wrenched it himself every week, tracked it (RIP VR FD), and OVERALL IT was clear it was the BEST example of a great rotary at DGRR 2011!!
11. Read above... #10
12. Did I already say, "It was 2.5 years ago!!!" And I have repeated this OVER and OVER to ONE select person. Not sure how many different way I have to say to get this through to someone.
13. DGRR is suppose to be a fun event to hang with fellow rotary guys.. If I had known this car show/Best of show = select few going nuts over and their ego's getting hurt, I would of NOT made a show.. However, I think I have dealt with the worst of the worst, and anything that happens in the future is a cake. SO, SHOW WILL GO ON!!!!

Finally to "G" aka Gordon. If you are a man of your words, stick to it. We agreed to stay away from each other and I definitely have followed our agreement. I have heard MANY MANY MANY ill stories about you and I definitely don't want to associate myself with you because of those stories.. At first I questioned those stories were true or not but I now realized by your behavior that most are probably true. Again, If you are to call me a cheat or any other names, you better follow through with some facts... as I'm pretty sure, some of the stories I have heard about you, many can provide facts.

Phil,

You forgot number 14.

14. Gordon's (magnificently built "best example of an fd in the USA" <quote from gordo himself) car blew up that year any way... that happened 2.5 years ago. Your car is still not completed. You wouldn't have made any magazine photo shoot anyway.

phil, i wasn't posting that as some sort of hatred... i was just curious if it runs. also, just one car show. my mistake; a car show, a few photo shoots, a magazine shoot, whatever. i also wasn't aware you had so many sponsors supplying parts (i thought it was more a personal thing) but now that makes more sense.
you have any ETA on completion (or maybe just running/dyno/etc.) ?

also, i had nothing to do with gordon's post/PM/mishap. haha. also, rich busting out the bigger font??? ok let me go microwave some popcorn real quick.

Oh boy, I am away the day teaching and find my name is still left in this thread and dragged into the issue. Please note I have not made any claims against the DGRR car show and haven't "proved" anyone to have done anything at all. I have asked to have the reference to me removed but apparently that will not happen as per Rich's post. I've also directly contacted Phil on the matter. I'd like to ask again that the reference be removed as this is the "truth" regarding me on the situation. There is nothing else I can do and being caught in the middle of this for no reason makes me very sad and is, well not right.

I am a big supporter of DGRR but have chosen to not participate in the car show portion because of perceived issues like this which have become more common. I genuinely want to have a good time and hang out with fellow rotor heads so my personal decision is to avoid the drama. Not taking sides in the issue and not suggesting anyone follow what I do or don't do. I am also not saying anything wrong is going on, but for me, not having the stress involved with the show one way or another is right for me.

I'd also politely suggest hurling accusations, even veiled ones, back at Gordon is not right either. I believe I know what you refer to and without facts here, for me it's no different than what you accuse Gordon of.

In the end, this is just a car forum with many different personalities and opinions. I'd like to see all of us get past the issues and return to a more civil understanding community. Hope we can all make it happen.

Finally, I too had no idea Phil's car wasn't running. Looking forward to seeing the car on the road and at DGRR. Maybe mine will be done by then as well

Didn't the reliable 3 rotor spin a bearing at the actual event we are discussing? I have nothing personal against Gordon and not in the loop to what all was said. After one phone call from Gordon 2 1/2 years ago after this event and his often ridiculous posts here on the forum over the years Ive made my own decision about him. My mind is absolutely blown that a 60+ year old man is upset about losing a car show. This would be an easy spot to take a jab at his cars performance( or lack there of) but ill keep waiting for his dyno results(4-5 yrs waiting now) and hopefully have the opportunity to put my nearly stock 2 rotor against his 3 rotor this fall.

flip Flop, FLIP FLOP!

Facts...
15. Car Show.... after DGRR 2011... During registration, it was clearly told that if you want to be part of the CAR SHOW, place a portion of the flier/tag on your dash. Without it, we will consider you did not want to take part. Saturday morning gather is part of Car Show but more so getting everyone together for those who couldn't come out to Friday afternoon damn Dam photoshoot/gathering. NO ONE FORCES ANYONE TO BE PART OF THE CAR SHOW!!! ITS A GATHERING w/ OPTION to enter if you WISH!!!.. TO SKIP THIS GATHERING AND THINKING YOU ARE IN THE SHOW tell me something else about what you think..

16. WHY EVEN WORRY??? I initially try to correct this issue but now, I don't even care.. I think those who care so much about DGRR and the show should JUST GOTO SOME SHOWS Else Where!!!! Again, SHOW was just a part of a gathering.. I just don't understand why some people will skip on a one of 2 gatherings planned and thinking saturday is ALL SHOW!! ITs 3 hours of getting cool rotary and some ex rotaries together for a different photo ops and to pack it into a parking lot. People need to chill and not worry.

17. Best of Show/Modified Feature... I've stated especially this year's DGRR... Best of Show/Modified Feature car, Only those who never been featured in previous print magazine feature... this eliminates previous winners. So, your chance goes up. I also don't understand people getting bent out of shape and don't attend this event thinking they should of won but didnt as common sense should tell you, your chance will go up year after. Either case, again, its for fun. I goto shows but I don't expect to win just because I was in Modified... That's just dumb thinking and egotistic...

Nope.. My hands are tied.. As waiting on parts that was suppose to have been here couple of months ago.. In all honesty, I'm in no hurry as I have other FD's I can drive and also 'original' 3 rotor I can drive.

What you might not have known is that Gordon told me at DGRR 2011, Sunday morning, telling me he will never attend the event again. When I sat with him and talked for over an hour, he told me all about the car show issue and how it was a conspiracy.. I sat with him and as the organizer of the event, explained the whole situation.. What it seemed my understanding that he understood was a complete false sense, as weeks, months, and now years after, he still thinks I cheated him or someone else should of gotten the Best of Show... And NOT RICH (GoodfellaFD3S).
I guess similarly, Many will disagree with his FD being, "magnificently built "best example of an fd in the USA""..... Car Show = opinion other than yours. Once you understand that, it will make sense and world will make sense.. I would think someone 60+ would of realized that by now...
