Fortune_Seven, have you had a chance to test out the fortune kit lights out at night? I am thinking if they are not bright enough I will try and fab up a Xenon modification.

I noticed that you filled in the veilside emblem recesses in the bumpers which is nice. Did you use fiberglass or body filler?

Body filler! Haven't decided if I'm going to use the VS emblem in the back or stick with this old schoold mazda crest that I shipped over from OZ. I'll take pics and you can tell me what you think.

Nice, are you going to go crazy under the hood or keep it reliable?

Hopefully I'll still be around when your ride gets back; I may be moving to another Island in the pacific just alot further south.

Going to keep it as reliable as possible, while progressively continuing to up the power.

Decided to send the car to ForceFed sooner then later in hopes to have it back on the road when it starts warming up here next month. On a flat deck Monday!

My Scrap Car is now on the way to ForceFed! As these things go, just after shipping off the car, my front bumper support landed via UPS.

I like the contrast between the two colors on the back.

Glad to hear the car is on the way to get tuned. It will always take longer than you think, and the spring time is really busy for tuning, so getting it done now is the way to go!

Thanks Callsign Vega, think it will be further tied in once I get the mirrors swapped over to the CF APR's, also thinking about having the RX7 emblem black chromed so it doesn't stick out as much, also might not run the center caps on the wheels, what do you think?

Lol.. Nick I traded it in on a 2011 Ford Fiesta using the Recycle your ride program... As for the tuning, my thoughts exactly! some space opened up sooner then I had planned and I figured early is better then later, especially with the great weather we have been getting around here. Was 12 the other day...

its 12 here right now...

I really like they way some wheels look without the center caps. if the center caps are a darker color it may be worth the time to see what they look like on. I know the last wheels I bought you could order either silver or black center caps.

A little lost in translation
We're talking Celsius, which is about 54 degrees Fahrenheit!

That's what happened with me. I had a tuner lined up but after 2 weeks of waiting and then a month of "Next week", I called Marco. He was booked solid, but was able to it me in due to a last minute cancellation so I drove out there.

Yup. I was living in BC at the time. Forcefed were in the process of moving from Langley to Abbotsford and I'd lined up some tuning in North Van, but when it wasn't materializing I called Marco to see what he had open.

If you get the VS emblem black chromed to subdue it a little bit, I think the center caps also black chrome would turn out pretty good. Just a thought.

Your car looks sweet Nick86! It's bonus they have a dyno!

Thats what I'm thinking Callsign Vega, and doing the RX7 lettering as well, that way everything is blacked out, the center cap is a good idea as well. How is your build coming?

So the car is well on its way. IC and Rad hooked up, Airbox etc. installed, Meth Kit back in, random electronics and battery relocation on-going. New suite of Greddy gauges and Prosport dash pod arriving any day. And my new APR mirrors just arrived to replace the ones stolen at the body shop and never replaced. Can't wait to install! More pics to follow!

Where the Fortune mirrors stolen or the stock ones? That's one part of the Fortune kit I might tweak as I think they can be better imo.

Still have the stockers currently on the car, and the fortune kit mirrors for sale. My first set of APR Carbon Fiber mirrors got nicked at the body shop, among other things, and the owner is no longer returning calls.

Police won't usually get involved with this kind of thing. Would be a civil matter and I would most likely need to take them to court for any kind of compensation.
