"If you dont do it this year, you will be one year older when you do" -Warren Miller
Thanks for the comment Turbo8
With the impending fury of winter almost upon us, I've decided after a year away that it is time to return to the mountains of Whistler. The snow is piling up, and according to some ski patrol friends Whistler Blackcomb will open a week earlier then the scheduled 24th of Nov. I plan to be there to pursue another 100+ days season.
Luckily the roads are still clear with the snow line starting around 700ft and ever climbing downwards, so to avoid a costly tow, I plan to install the Master and Release Cylinders courtesy of Ray at Malloy Mazda in the coming days and make the trip in a week.
I lucked out with a really sweet house I'll share with some close friends, mountain views, two decks, hot tub etc, and best of all garage that will be all mine for the numerous winter projects scheduled for the 7.
I'll post pics of the journey as this will most likely be the last drive of the season, as well as the garage once it is setup. I am so STOKED!!!!!

So the seven is back in action! installed the clutch slave etc. and started her up, shifted great, pedal feels good, and was it ever great to hear that beautiful engine again, let it run for 20mins just to listen to it.

Working with about an inch between the end of my nose and the bottom of the car really sucked, especially whilst bleeding the system, got covered in fluid, not something I'm in a hurry to repeat. Also started adjusting the ride height a bit to achieve better clearance to get on and off the ferry! lol

For the emblem, it is as easy as ordering a CX7 and RX8 emblems from a mazda dealer (closest to you would be New Glasgow or Sidney), combining into RX7 and you now have the updated font!

Made it to Whistler safely, though having never driven the car in the rain or at night there were moments I could have done without.
All in all it went well, and she is now safe and sound in her new garage, though in desperate need of a clean. Some shots of the trip.
Chilling in the line waiting for the ferry.

Absolutely beautiful. Nice work! I wanted to do that kit on my build that I'm finishing up right now, I just didn't have the financial resources for it. It sure is good to get it out that first time huh?

Love the whole process, almost like building as much as driving.. almost. Great thing is as things progress there is always something else to do. Congrats on your build as well! been following your progress, looking great!

And tucked away in her new home!

Strangely at some point on the trip over the passenger door stopped working, think the rod must have come off the handle on the inside, haven't opened it up yet to fix, but can't imagine what else it could be.

This is the first time ive seen your car.... I have drooled over every single picture in the past 10 pages.
Seriously takes something special to make me comment on a car but everything you've done here is just perfect. Well done man!
I am so jealous!!! Lol.

Awesome car. I was about to buy the body kit on Ebay until I saw the same picture of your parts laid out on the floor:
