you can't see it but the bottom pipe is actually about 160 degree turn...the other part of the pipe being inside the intercooler, basically pushing air to the bottom of the intercooler...the top pipe just opens directly into the intercooler so it blows air at the top of the cooler
is that what you mean??

the gold is purely functional...it brought down my intake temps on average about 15 degrees (as i saw on the PFC commander)
and after running the car not the road course i can drive straight into the pits and full handed grab and hold all the piping covered with the gold
its bright and out there, but i swear by it...i put that stuff everywhere i can now

some update pics
got the downpipes and waste gates mounted...it looks awesome from the bottom!!
and i got my FJO injector driver in the mail today from forum member phrost, he's one of the best sellers i've dealt with on the forum, great guy!

finally got my Innovative Motorsports MTX-L Wideband
I one bolted most of the car together to take it back home
almost done!!
then Roxy finally went back home!!!
got a flatbed to pick her up yesterday
i can't wait to give her a wash after 4 months!!

In my experience it was best to keep the compressors separated as long as possible, which is generally at the intercooler exit( dual cores). If you ever look on a properly built TT v8 car( LS for example with single TB) there is generally a divider all the way up to the throttle body inside the single oval IC pipe.

kinda like the ones on the TT 370z?
I think he's saying a single intercooler with divided sections 2 inlets that would be divided all the way through the intercooler and dual outlets (also divided). Eventually joining at the Throttle body.

Stock sequential turbo sytem works fine with one intercooler inlet and outlet...
Howard Coleman also boosted into his smic the same way as this, two inlets one outlet.
Maybe it would be better to have two inlets and join before or at the throttle body but some proof would make it easier to understand.

Unless both turbos are flowing the exact amount of air at the exact same time, they will fight each other, and surge back and forth. The engine can only flow so much air at a each given RPM, so if one turbo is flowing more than the other, the weaker turbo will surge. when using larger twins. Using a single wastegate helps, instead of twin externals or twin externals. It also appears from my experience the faster the turbos spool the bigger the problem it is. I've built and been in several different combination of big TT cars. I'm not claiming to be an expert, just sharing my experience...
hhmmm very very interesting...wish you would have told me that before i took the car home from the fabricator!!!
i guess that'll have to be later on as i further refine the setup

put the harness in the car today
and got to work on the oil coolers
using the stock r1 cores, and upgrading to stainless lines using adaptor fittings from Setrab
for anyone that wants to know the fitting is male M22 to male -10AN adaptor

I am wondering why you chose to have the wastegate dump tubes re routed back into the downpipe at a right angle relative to the downpipe. I think you severely restricted the flow of the wastegates by doing it that way. It should be rerouted at a much more gradual angle. Basically you want the dump tube to mate with the downpipe at an angle like 30 degrees or so.
Also, I think you should really re-consider the way you plumbed the inlets to the intercooler. IMHO you should space the inlets farther apart and move the outlet to the middle of the endtank. Or, listen to turblown and make the intercooler divided. A good compromise IMO wold be to split the intercooler and merge the somewhere after the outlet of the intercooler. Plus I think it would look much better.
