I love the OEM + route you are going.
I do feel it NEEDS the spacers, the look is too far off on the offset and it really detracts from the look. Hence the OEM "PLUS"
A little lower, a little wider, a little faster.
I say a 10mm up front and a 20mm in the rear and 1/4"lower and you are in dream territory.
I think those numbers are pretty close to what would look ideal, whenever I get some brake parts and am working on that part, it may be a consideration

Thanks, there was some dust on it for sure. Between the painting of the car, the ceramic coating, the PPF etc I was letting the car cure a bit for the last few months. Just finally got to give her a bath last weekend.
Because I haven't spent enough on her this year, here is one last part before the end of the year
Also, here are the reupholstered RZ seats installed
Should have something coming in the mail soon, I thought I was done buying parts for the year.
These finally showed up, 7+ months after ordering. Just need to set aside a little bit of time for install! Excited to see the increased night time visibility

I see you’re the one who scooped up that steering wheel in the for sale section not too long ago. Very nice piece! Could you do a comparison shot of the size of the steering wheels between the newer style and old? I’ve been on the fence with getting one. I’m 6ft and I have to get into my 7 in a particular way because there isn’t tilt wheel :P I wanna know if the slightly smaller wheel will help alleviate that some.

I actually first saw my 94 Rx7 in Surprise (former owner was in Glendale), your neck of the woods. I will be out that way in about a week as well. Anyway, here is a pic of the two wheels side by side. Haven't done any driving yet with the new one as just put in on tonight. Hope this helps.

I'm enjoying the progress, not yet done with interior. Probably a shift boot/e-brake/shift panel change in the future.

Weather is getting nice, time for a bath. Also, Sake Bomb passenger foot rest installed to go with shorty mat on passenger side, was a pretty simple and easy install
Very clean! What bolster covers do you have on your seats? I have a mini Recaro cover, but would like a matching red extended side cover like you have for both sides.

I am not sure, they came with the seats, they are leather
Nice build!! Something I found out the other day. Apparently the plastic base at the shifter boot is different in LHD and RHD. My car is a RHD and realised the lhd shifter boot holes didn't line up when I tried to attack it to the console. Had to remove the staples and transfer it to the RHD base plate. Found that interesting
Really love this OEM+ build. I ended up liking the white paint a lot, although that pearl looked good too. Just overall a really well thought out build where nothing seems out of place and nothing seems needed.

Thanks, I didn't do much of the thinking though, I think Mazda did the thinking and got it right in their 2002 version.

Yes, it is indeed different. I used Zepticon's post as a guide, and took some pictures along the way.
Removing staples with pliers shown, for the LHD one on some I had to finesse them up, on the new Spirit R one, the staples were just removed by grabbing them with the pliers
these are the two shift boot rings on top of one another to see the differences
I just placed the leather over the plastic tabs, felt solid enough, did not staple them down or thread them through
These are the two plastic boot rings for the e-brake, the one on top is the LHD, the one on the bottom the RHD (what came with the Spirit R handle)
As people have mentioned before, there is a shortage of leather on the left side of the RHD ebrake handle as compared to the LHD one because they had different plastic boot rings that they attached to. The right side leather lengths appear similar.
A few cuts to try and make it slide over the ring better. I used staples to tack it back down to the plastic ring.
And here they are installed

Not a whole lot lately as far as updates, over the past few weeks, gave her a bath, got a new battery and got her smogged. Weather is getting nicer, but on lockdown here in CA
