Lunar's Second Attempt with an FD

I've owned an FD before and like previous FD owners the first one is always the one that kicks you in the teeth everytime you turn around.

I picked this baby up in July and I just love her. She has her own issues that I have been discovering over the past few months and have been working.

Engine is completely stock.

Mods:
Origin Labs Stylish Body Kit and RE style tail light cover.
Blitz Intake
Small quiet exhaust
MazdaSpeed MS-01 Forged Mag Wheels 18x8.5j front 18x9.5j rear
Pivot Fan Controller and Temp Sensor
AST
Defi Boost Gauge and Controller
10k Front and 9k Rear Adjustable Suspension
Unknown Super Single clutch

Redid all the fluids and changed out the fuel filter. Changing out the 02 sensor when I get a chance. Right now getting 8mpg, calculated. 220km on a full tank

It has a boost issue of generating 0 boost until 4krpm then it will hit .4 and hold it to red line through all the gears. This is caused by the actuator being wired open. The previous owner did the poor man's non-sequential conversion. Came with a stock ecu, I do not know if the guy was running a power-fc or an f-con or whatever.

Planned build:
Power-FC
Apexi AVC
V-mount koyo radiator and intercooler: planing on the one from rx7store.net
Pull out the turbo and do the non-seq conversion properly.
Switch out the exhaust and replace cat with a straight pipe.
Upgrade the fuel system, to support not sure what injectors I will need. Probably will go with a Walboro fuel pump.
Put a fork in it and call it done yet still secretly pray a friend with a street ported 13b crashes so I can buy his motor. Costs 4k$+ to ship a motor to mainland Japan, get it ported and then sent back to Okinawa.

As a note I will be doing some cosmetic modifications.
Feed side mirrors.
R-magic headlights
Recaro Type RZ seats. I do not like the Spirit R seats because they are red.
Redo the sound system add a couple 10" subs to replace the back seats. Friend of mine had a box made by a guy out here with the matching black padding and all totally built to replace the rear seats and appear extremely clean.

looks like it will be a fun project.

in reference to your boost issue though, it seems like you know what it is but I would repair it before I start doing anything else so you have a 100% working car before you start upgrading so if the car has issues, you can isolate the problem easier.

curious though; do you live in japan or are you stationed there? I hope you don't have any intentions of bringing this car back to the US.

I have lived in Japan for the past 15 years. No plans on going back to the states.
