well its not very deep of a port at the bottom so yes it will open early but i dont think it will hinder anything very much and if it does ill just pull the motor again and bevel the rest of the port idk just kinda experimenting... the picture doesnt really show the depth very well

Got

Got my parts in didn't take to long.... als apex seals (awesome) from allrotor93 and solid corner seals new apex springs from Atkins. Hopefully they will work as well as they look.
Took the last guys advice and rounded out the exhaust ports then lightly sand blasted they look great. Get to start the rebuild this weekend, finishing up the engine paint tonight and tomorrow

Angry finished painting

all finished paining and ready to put things together

downside to everything is durring last inspection of everything i noticed one of my side seals had a slight bend in it towards the end were it would butt up to the corner seal, so light the smart guy i thought i was i tried to bend it back... yup
just what your thinking SNAP AWE ****... so delayed until i can find another.
sad thing is i dont want to have to order a whole set.

So if there is anyone that has an extra side seal laying around that needs a rotor i have a rotor that needs a side seal so i can finish my build...
i almost wanted to cry when it snapped all asperation of getting this thing built this weekend just went bye bye

Now I have to buy a full pulley kit new oil metering lines w/ banjo fittings
and a full stud kit because my waterpump mounting hardware. it was all inthe same box in plastic baggies and for the life of me i cant find it anywhere

Remove those paint off the exhaust port surface, or your gasket might not seal right.

Duly noted.. I was halfway wondering about that myself figured it would burn off under the heat but nothing that can't be taken off with a little Carb cleaner and elbow grease not trying to sand anywhere near the ports and get something awful in my motor before start up

So all in all I made the rookie mistake of smashing a seal during assembly so I had to tare it down and order a new seal, figured while it was apart I would get the ports touched up and flow matched and polished.
I don't really know what the gains will be doing this since its a forced induction but if its just for piece of mind then so be it.

Finally tracked down majority of the parts that came up missing durring my move and should have this thing running in the next month. Just in time for the summer

Ok so new question for those who might know...
i have purchaced a set of aftermarket lightweight pulleys and the sensor plate for the eccentric shaft pulley will not work with it, is it assential to have these sensors when running the power fc or will i have to have that sensor turned off to make it run properly on first start-up? Or can i get away with not connecting them at all?

The two sensors on the front cover that sit next to the eccentric shaft main pulley, stock there is a three piece pulley that has a plate that runs infront of the sensors. With the aftermarket pulley i cant use that plate so there is nothing for these sensors to get a reading from.

What kind of pulley kit did you get? The pulley from your kit should only replace the outer section of the main pulley (hold down by 4 bolts), the inner section where the trigger wheel goes should still be the same.

Allright so after searching high and low for a 780mm 5 rib alternator wp belt i settled for a 4wile rib. I finally get everything together and.start her up for thw first time.
Now is the onset of problems she sounds like **** at idol like shes missing or something and is running really rich. Im wondering if i have an injector stuck open or something. Also i noticed that i have a nasty coolant leak at the wpso im going to have to tare that appart and re seal.

Anyone have any ideas as to whats up with the rough idol above 800 rpm on brand new motor?

Does it smoke? What's your vacuum at idle? Might be best to post a video of how it sounds like.

Well i was going to post a video but after work tonight i fixed a leak on the waterpump and once all done i went to fire it up and nothing but crank crank... to add i did figure out what the deal was i had plug wires mixed up last night couldnt tel because of the heat shield material after that it sounded great. It did smoke for a wile until it burned off all the breakin oil and whatnot after that it wasnt horrible.
Im thinking that it has to do with the shitty wiring harness, i need to get a newer one that is simplified for single turbo

Simplifying single turbo harness

Well about 2 hrs in and de-loom and de-pin complete now just wrapping things back up and setting the junctions to run and wrap wires..... very easy to do with the help of this forum
