I should also mention I have a LIM heat blanket on the way from Elliot over at Turblown
A pair of teaser pics of the compressor housing that is in the mail to me. It was polished, had the 500R etched into it, then it was given a UV coating to keep the part permanently polished

IT'S ALIVE!!!!
She fired up with zero drama, not much smoke either . There is an exhaust leak, I think the TiAL wastegate isn't seated 100% properly. Car holds a rock steady 1050 rpm idle and has built some vacuum in the short time she's been idling.
On a side note, the RE Speed filler neck *does* fit with an oem cap, it is a very tight fit and the cap has to be oriented a certain way. My pimpin' R-Magic cap will not fit however, boo.
Thank to all those who helped/hung out/drank beer/took pictures/made fun of me: Tom, Marc, my brother Ryan, Bryan, and my dad.
More details and pictures to come

Vids or it didn't happen :-P
Looks awesome! I'm now searching this thread for info on the exhaust manifold.
On a side note, you seem to have a pretty strong belief in coatings, but is there any evidence (besides anecdotal) that they will have longevity? I'm not questioning you, just the coatings!

What is the purpose of the hole in the compressor housing? Turbo tachometer?

Re: the coatings, I had typed up a lengthy dissertation on the benefits some time ago that I'd have to dig up. I recommend clicking the link in my sig referring to the GB, that'll give you some info. My coater uses rotary-specific ceramic coating, and his product has been proven many times over in high powered rotary drag cars and road race cars
As far as quantifiable benefits, those are hard to come by......I can tell you my engine bay stays very cool, my EGTs are pretty low for my setup, and my turbo has always spooled very fast given it's size. I think it's all small stuff that incrementally adds up.
As long as you don't assault me with your Nikon as we rip around a sharp curve at speed

That is the compressor inlet, it's the only spot you can source filtered fresh (unboosted) air. A nipple threads in that hole, and is for both rotor housing oil injectors and also for the oil filler neck. It keeps the OMP happy and also keeps my crankcase de-pressurized (ie no smokey exhaust). Some people just insert the nipple in the end of the air filter, I wanted a more 'hard mounted' solution.

It's gorgeous! Who made it? I'm about to send a mock-up to a shop to have it replicated for my FB project.
For the construction of my manifold, I would really like to have this done to it as well as the downpipe (or I could heat-wrap it I suppose). I already have a Gotham blanket so I'm in agreement with the effects of the coatings/blanket "stacking" to create a noticeable improvement in response. I just won't have a baseline, I'm going into this completely blind since my car has never been driven.
Thanks for the info and I'll check out your GB thread.

On another note, I was able to put about 20 miles on the motor yesterday. The car pulls very well at half-throttle and off boost, seems to be more torquey than my old motor. The clutch is very streetable, nice firm pedal and more forgiving than a 6 puck.
