Will figure out our plans soon and I'll get back with you. It's looking like we'll spend the night Friday and all day Saturday in the city.

Update - I'm officially heading for Dallas and Gotham Racing this weekend. Plane tickets are purchased so there's no backing out of this one. Will get there by 5 pm or so on Friday.

Plans are for tuning and dynoing (if this is a word) to occur then if it fits into Steve Kan's schedule. If not, tuning should be done prior to me showing up. The car is back at Gotham and was driven (yes, it's alive) on Friday over for a wheel alignment. The water injection pump needs to be hooked up and then all that's left is for Steve to work his magic

My goal is to give the car a shakedown over the weekend so we can identify anything that needs to be tweaked prior to me picking up the car during the week of March 20th. Want to ensure a smooth ride back to Jacksonville FL.

For those if you in Dallas, I'm planning on taking the car over to the NOPI event on Saturday if you are interested. For those in New Orleans and wanting to see the car, looks like Saturday March 24th will be the day although I still need to work out the schedule.

Looks like my two-year saga is coming to a positive end!

Overhaulin' would have only taken a week. I keep telling my wife she should have nominated me for the show. Don't know if Chip Foose could have handled the 3 rotor part but he sure does make some great looking cars.

I've got the camera and batteries ready so pics will soon follow. Anyone in Dallas have a camcorder so we can take some video of the dyno pulls?

God NO, don't let Chip Foose near an FD. Some of the old muscle cars he does look good but much of it, I find tacky.

Engine was broken in over a year ago. Put 2,000 miles on it before the car went to CA.

- The 20B twins aren't designed to - and consequently they don't - flow much for high hp applications
- The 13B-REW twins (for all intensive purposes minus one or two times in HISTORY) can't make 500 crank, let alone a FAR cry to 550 crank (about 468rwhp).

I dont want to step on any toes, but the FD twins are indeed smaller, physically, and in CFM's. The 20B uses a HT-12 on the front, and a HT-10 on the rear, while the FD and 13b-re both use twin HT-10's. As most of you know a HT-12s is used on the TII FC3S from 87-91, and is good for roughly 300hp crank, and two HT-10's on the FD are good for up to roughly 400hp crank. Take one Ht-12 and one Ht-10 and you have *roughly* 500hp crank. Still far cry from advertised power levels of Pettit. I will take some side by side pics tomorrow, but the 20B is larger, as a fact.

No toes being stepped on, but you're mistaken on BOTH accounts.

1) The FD uses twin HT-12s, NOT HT-10s (Twin Hitachi HT12 turbos w/51mm turbine & 57mm compressor). This is a verifiable FACT. http://www.marx7.org/infocenter/faqs/3rd_faq_2.html

2) The Cosmo 20B uses a low pressure HT-10 and HT-15.

Yeah, I am way off on the HT numbers, but will look at them later anyway, just so I know as well.

So Steve will be tuning the car while you're in town this weekend or is it supposed to be tuned by the time you get there?

Have a safe trip David.

I've left that up to him. I wouldn't mind seeing some of the tuning. Ideally, the car would be street tuned prior to me showing up and then dyno tuned while I'm there.

For those of you in Dallas, if you want to hang out to see the tuning or go to the NOPI show, I'll be there.

David, you might want to post something up in the South forum, I'm sure there are guys who would be interested in checking out your beast, they're just not aware of this thread
