Holy Crap you could eat off that car its so clean. Although i am sure you don't want any food or such on the paint.
This is the way Mazda should have built this car in the first place IMHO.
Glad to see it turned out A+ David!

PULEEZE log everything AND videotape the special parts. i.e. steering gear. motor mounts, trans bolt-up, and intercooler setup. I presume you will have the battery in the passenger side storage compartment for better balance as well as more room up front. Also I'm guessing you'll do a dual oil cooler if you haven't already.
I LOVE these conversions because they give that FD chassis the power it deserves (W/O stressing the engine)and BECAUSE IT CAN KICK PORCHE AND FERRARI BUTT!
Hunt down a new Ferrari 450 Modena and SPANK it!

Final Tuning Session: This Thursday!!
Happy New Year!
Hope all is well in the land of the rotor (and V8s for some of you). Wanted to let all of you know that I'll be heading back down to Pettit Racing this Wednesday and Thursday for a final tuning and dyno session.
I've now driven the car a little over 1,000 miles - things are going great with the engine setup and the Wolf EMS. Chris from Wolf USA has solved my only problem to date, cold start. It took way too many cranks to start the engine and the colder it got, the longer it took. Chris adjusted the starting enrichment for me and it now works like a charm.
The car is extremely smooth and running well. I've done multiple data logging passes and am pleased with the results. Also pleased I've avoided a ticket while doing this. The cops have been out in Jacksonville and nothing like a black RX7 streaking by them to garner attention!
I'll take the camera with me for pics and also to video a few of the dyno runs for all of you. See you soon with results.
