Update
Went to Kilo Racing this week. It's really nice having the car just a few hours away. makes it easy to pop in and see what is up.
The engine is rebuilt and has be re-installed in the car. In addition, the downpipe and manifold has been refabiricated for better flow. The downpipe is now a straight shot through so no places for the exhaust to get hung up. The wastegate flange has been reworked to take advantage of two runners instead of one.
Jesus has removed all the wring and electronics from the car and these are now for sale (get them while you can). The Microtech unit is being installed as we speak and the car should be fired up next week.
For now, we're concentrating on getting everything back together correctly and then we'll make it all look nice. Jesus removed miles of wiring from the car, some of it done well but a lot not. From the state of the wiring, it's pretty clear why the car had electrical issues.

New downpipe
Here are some shots of the new downpipe. To refresh your memory, the old setup had significant airflow issues:
Note the many twists and turns of the exhaust due to the poorly designed ecutout setup. Also note the piping varies in diameter from 2.5 inches to 4 inches.
The new setup. Clean, straight forward and simple. Should flow much better. Also note the Synapse 50mm wastegate unit peeking through the piping. After spending much time on the phone with Abel Iberra and Synapse, I'm trying the unit on the car. The diaphramless (if that is a word) design of the unit is supposed to hold many advantages over normal units regarding boost build up and release so I am giving it a shot. Alex from Gotham was kind enough to send me a HKS 60mm unit as a backup in case the Synapse unit doesn't work.

looking really good man. Good to see that things are coming together (again). I wish I could have seen your car while I was in Florida, but it didn't even dawn on me to ask permission/for the shop location (I was in Englewood, spent alot of time on Siesta Key). Good luck on everything, hope to see this car out and driving around soon.

This weekend I'm making the trip down to Pettit Racing in West Palm, FL to drop off my car for a 3 rotor conversion. I'm also planning on widening out the back end of the car with molded flares to run 12 inch wide tires.
Curious if anyone would be interested in a log of the project and pics?

Thanks for all the props and encouragement guys! Thought no one was interested anymore. Jesus is busy wiring up the car with the intent to start it this week. I think we're looking good for an end of the month pickup and drive back home.
Jantore - I'm keeping the water injection system but it won't be activated at the beginning. Am going to make sure everything is sorted out first and will then add it back on per Howard Coleman's HD injection system recommendations. I have all the pieces to make this work with the exception of injectors.

It probably feels good to get a "fresh Start" so to speak. Going through everything and reusing what works and ditching what didn't. Rewiring everything hopefully will save you a ton time trying to trouble shoot.
Good luck, can't wait to see it finished....
