well i made it to road atlanta, made it on the track, didn't crash (BUT ALMOST), enjoyed the whole day with my friends (9 of us went with 7 cars): my FD, 1 black 6mt single supra, 1 silver auto single supra, 1 turbo miata, 1 RX8, 1 turbo FC (turbo'd S4 NA block with stock s5 turbo), and my roommate's E46 M3.
the FD did pretty well, but i am slightly overpowering my 225 Hankook RS3s. i was scrambling a little bit friday night, as my new brake rotors didn't show up in time (thanks USPS), and i had to stop by MAZCARE in marietta GA on my way to the hotel near road atlanta. so we installed my new pads and rotors in the parking lot of the hotel, then bedded them, all friday night before the track day. we got it done and the brakes worked perfectly. i took turn 12 and turn 1 pretty badly every single lap, and didn't get a chance to get an instructor. need to install the "driver mod," as they say. there were also several wrecks (i think 6 total throughout the day...) but luckily, no one in my crew wrecked. we all made it home safely.
i am planning to have some wider wheels/tires for the next event, but here's the cliff notes on the rest of my setup, for anyone who hasnt read the entire thread:
93 FD touring , 380whp dynojet @ 11psi
haltech ps1k
LS1 coils, 4x ID2000 injectors, walbro 340
rx7store VMIC kit
dual aftermarket oil coolers
hankook RS3 tires (225/50 R16) on stock wheels
carbotech XP10 front pads, hawk HT-10 rear pads
precision 6262 turbo, turblown dual manifold, dual 38mm MVS wastegates, recirc'd wastegates
in this video the black supra is in front and turbo miata is behind me. this also shows the rowdy 04+ Audi S4 that was very fast (not only faster than me in a straight line, but everywhere else)
my almost spin/wreck at turn 5 @ 1:03
here was an aggressive E46 M3 driver who was behind me (very close) for about the first half of the track. i went to point him by right when we got onto the back straight, and i think he got a little too aggressive with the pass... check it out @ 3:30

gdub, THANKS. yeah, everyone is asking what's up with my tach. haha. i ended up just looked down at the haltech data occasionally for the RPM.
the tach goes in and out, and it seems to have gotten worse when the weather got cold. silly mazda 90's solder joints.

SO JEALOUS you have Road Atlanta as your local track. I am seriously considering the 10+ hour drive for a track day there haha
I skimmed through the videos, the car looks great out there. I could not find the close call at 1:03 in the second video... I usually have at least one of those each track day myself. That tach would drive me crazy! How many track days have you done?
You mentioned overlaying gps data and ecu data from the haltech... you should make a best few laps compilation with all the data overalyed. Me and a few buddies have been using a Performance box for GPS/lap data and overlaying that onto the videos, and I recently figured out how to use my internal AEM ECU datalogs for video overlay as well.
Here is the latest one I did (my close call at 1:00 )
Its great to see more FD's out on track!

Nice videos, looked like you guys had some fun that day. I think I replayed your "close call" back to back like 4 times lol, glad you recovered that quickly. When you said the bmw trying to pass got a little too aggressive, I was not expecting that lol, poor guy, I'm guessing he went to much on the throttle and lost it? Great videos!

it was a good track day though for us. several others wrecked, but our crew had a good day: no one broke anything, no one crashed, and we all drove home safe
