Got some updates for the car. Engine and rebuilt tranny are back in the car. Also got some interior goodies installed

Got some wide view mirrors from Zoom Engineering for the FD. Decided to have some fun with it with some custom glass engraving...

Spirit R seats installed. Also got the JDM rear seats in. Pretty happy with how the rear set up turned out!

Following. Just picked up a 95 chaste white and swapping all the good stuff over to it from the Montego blue.

Got the mirrors from RHDjapan. Will let you know how I like them once they are on.

Some longover due updates for the car...
Finally got the car out of the shop. Engine is hooked up and running. Interior slowly back together.

Engine is street ported with single Precision 6266 turbo which came with the car. Running custom V-mount kit from Lucky7. Currently breaking in the brand new EXEDY hyer twin cerametallic clutch and flywheel. Will be doing some tuning and dyno after. I am not looking to make huge numbers, just something fun yet streetable. Goal is to keep it between 350-400 RWHP.

Got the FEED style hood by Shine Auto on the car. Fitment is great. About as close to OEM as you will get from an aftermarket company. As I was about to get my hood painted, I decided that I want to maintain more of an OEM+ look like the rest of the car. I have been going back and forth for a while about this. I do like the vented look of the CF hood, but it may be just a tad too aggressive for the look I am going for since white seems to accentuate the hood vents. If the car were black I would probably keep it. But for now the CF hood will come off and OEM hood will go back on. Now I am just waiting the stock hood to come back from the body shop.

Very nice progression. I like how the first thing you did when you got the new one was take it all the way down. That way you weed out any previous owner crap right out of the door instead of dealing with it on and off forever and also find anything mechanical that may need a good ole fashion replacin after 24 years.

Looks great!

Looking really good, enjoying the build, very much close to what I'm aiming to do. As far as the radio antenna change, can you elaborate more? I'll be painting mine (leaning towards pure white) this summer some time and putting the 99 parts on so I can get all of the boxes/parts out of my dining room (wife will love that). I may want to do an antenna delete as well.

I just bought one of those hidden antennas from amazon. Probably not going to work as well as OEM antenna but we will see. I have not hooked up my radio yet. Something like this can be hidden under your winshield or rear hatch.

Wow just saw this build thread, looks like we used the same red carpet! I don't have Recaros (yet), but using reupholstered red OEM seats. I will be following this build to get some ideas for mine.

I would have done a lot of the same things you did. Love that you nixed the sunroof and went all out on the paint and stayed with the factory chaste white.
I may have avoided the 99 wing but the 99 front end is perfect on a white FD. I may have gone with different wheel choice but that’s why we all have our own builds. It would be boring if they all looked the same.
I agree with you on the stock hood. I like the build overall and I think you improved the car a lot tastefully.

Super clean... love all the attention to detail.
CW is my second fav. color next to BB.

Also love the bronze wheels. Very beautiful contrast.

Thanks! I had source them from Yahoo Auction Japan. They are probably the lightest 17" wheels I have found that fits the FD. only 14-15lbs each.

I decided to clean up gas cap area. Got some oem replacement parts from Ray then went to town... The gas cap area got some overspray when the car was repainted so I decided to clean that **** up. Gotta love the brand new gas cap. Kicking myself for not taking a before / after.

Took some night shots at the gas station the other day...

So glad you went back to OEM hood. Looks great. Bronze wheels look good, too, on the Chaste White and red Spirit R seats are perfect.

Car is finally tuned and back on the road. Loving every minute of it. Here are some pictures of current state of the car.

Took it up the ACH and shot some recent pix.
