These are really old pictures, my irons already had some kid of port done to them. Whether it was a street port or just some guy with a dremel i dont know anyone more knowledgable have an idea? I just went over them with a buffing wheel on dremel to smooth them out more.

Here are some pictures from pulling the tranny to fix the 5th/reverse syncro. This was before i had a garage i was using a storage unit as one haha!

The car was not high enough for the transmission to slide out so it sat there leaking chocolate syrup while i frantically tried to jack up the car more.

here is the tool a friend had to make me to dis-assemble the transmission.

apparently mazda cannot order this, does not have it to let me borrow it. he had to cut a 36??mm socket in half and weld about a 12" pipe in the middle. he ended up ruining a $100 bandsaw blade trying to cut through the hardened socket... oops.

The steel pipes are supposed to be temporary i plan to use them for a pattern to create a mold to create carbon fiber pipes similar to these but without the seam.
http://www.vaglinks.com/Docs/Misc/CarbonFiberHowTo2.pdf
I know there is no need or real benefit to making the pipes carbon fiber i just want to try and make the engine bay look really nice and it is a personal preference.

Wire tuck.

put some semi-new leather i got from Reno_NVFD on my seats

Started casting metal as a hobby after seing Brian on VWVortex
http://forums.vwvortex.com/showthrea...-casting-parts
this guy makes all his own parts. Even though he has a mill he uses only a router to show that the average joe can mill parts flat.

I made my furnace using a penzoil oil can and some fire bricks i found at my old duplex.

A hole is cut in the side for the tuyer which air blows through to heat the fire, this furnace uses charcoal.

I pour the molten aluminum into a muffin tin to make ingots to use later/give me practice melting aluminum before i cast real parts.

growing stash of Al ingots....

the first "thing" i cast

and finally a part that.. may need revising.. but will hopefully work on the rx7, an idler pulley bracket.

with a mockup pulley and belt
