Cool

The ECU choice is looking like an AEM mobe.

Had a busy weekend..... elected to finally install my mint black carpet I've had laying around compliments of Tom 'Woozle Luv' Frascone

We (I'll get to who 'we' is in a second) elected to do it the right (and uber time consuming) way, removing the dash.

This turned into a real chore---the previous owner is a super nice guy who had good taste. However, over his many years of ownership he had a LOT of peripheral electronic stuff installed, including a Python alarm system, crazy high-end stereo system, DEFI heads up display, Kenwood in-dash CD/DVD player with navigation, Sirius radio, the list goes on and on.

Removing the dash without cutting all the wires took a ton of painstaking work. I decided to remove about 95% of the wires, boxes, speakers, amps, etc. We also relocated the battery to the passenger rear bin, a nice 15 pound Braille unit with fitted bracket.

We weighed all that came out, and amazingly it came to 75 pounds worth of stuff! Coupled with the lighter weight battery I was able to remove almost 100 pounds of weight from the chassis. I swear the car accelerates faster now too. Unbelievable.

Much thanks goes out to John 'BBF' Renna, Buddy 'BLR' Lee, Ryan 'twin-turbo Gallardo videos on youtube all day all night' Farrell, Marc 'Cho' Gargamel, Brandon 'Monster Truck' Potter, and Marc 'Heathcliff' Esty for all their support and assistance

Onward to the pics!

Just to shut ambrosio up, some nicer exterior pics, complete with shine auto duckbill rear lip and 2-piece '99 spec front lip

I'm really loving the RGRs, it's a shame they aren't wide enough for my planned power levels. I know a few people have been PMing me about them over the last month, if still interested please follow up..... local pickup takes precedence

Any pics of the new battery mounted int he rear bin? I'm considering the same set up, with Braille battery, but am having anxiety about cutting out the whole bin.
Did you fab the mounting bracket yourself, or use something off the shelf?

More like Ryan 'I'll drive Brandon home to CT with a total round trip of over 3 hours long'. Also I was the one that dismantled that POS stereo setup, tracing all the wires, disconnecting the endless crossovers, cutting the million zip ties that were used, taking the "high end" duck-tape out from all over the rear of the car…smh. With some help from Brandon we got that ***** of a amp out of the back.

I work best when Captain Farrell isn't around "giving orders" hahaha

Ughhh. Now that I'm buying another FD, that has tan carpet, I wish I didn't sell you that black carpet.

Car looks great though, Rich.
