Talking

This past weekend I mounted my 'track fitment' wheels to get a look at a different finish and style of wheel on the car..... 18x10 +50 Profil13 with 285/30 Advan AD08

I also picked up a super clean low-mileage black carpet from my hombre Tom..... you can see his pooch Felix Wankel in the pic wondering what those fools are up to

Had a blast this weekend hanging out in Willytown and enjoying the hospitality of Scrub & Familia, then off to Rotorfest to support my buddy Big Roan

Below is the mighty Clunkers, my black FD (nicknameless currently....) and my brother's SSM (the Grey Ghost?) during our impromptu pool party:

Yes, believe it or not, I've temporarily shelved the Fikses in favor of some BBS goodness

A shot showing off the yummy Sakebomb Garage Competition BBKs, can't go wrong with this setup. I'm running Endless MX72 and the pad noise is kept to a bare minimum.

Before setting off for Rotorfest, Blueberry Farms and Ryan's FD, he's temporarily rocking my Fikse Profil10s

Progression of rear wings, from '99 spec to R1 to Shine duckbill to oem wingless..... then Ihor's chubby Evo. This shot wasn't planned, we just parked like that

Lastly, Ryan is super happy that the Pirate Hooker is alive and running..... still needs just a *little* bit of work though

Looking at those pics, you'd think AP racing calipers came as stock on FD's

Tbh, the BBS wheels look better imo, go nicely with the colour scheme.

That blue FD looks awesome..

^ I agree, the BBS look much better than the profil 10's, and the profil 10's look much better on the silver FD than the ugly SSR's that it used to have.

P.S. The blue FD is definitely nice.

Thumbs up

Thanks guys, much appreciated..... Ceylon, good eyes. Pretty much our whole group is rocking the SBG Comp BBK, and those who don't have it want it badly

A shot from the recently completed Carlisi Meet, courtesy of Mike Mauro. These wheels may be sticking around for a while

You're not biased or anything right Pete ?

The fitment is spot on, I ran the calcs before taking the plunge on these and really like the staggered look and meaty lip out back

Ceylon, they're 18x8.5 F, 18x9.5 R with offsets in the low to mid 20s.

So, finally some kind of progress...... after some mixups, received my 13B-REW from homeskillet Ray at Malloy. This is basically one of the last new engines to roll off the line before the remans began to go out into the market. After teardown, I can attest that every single bolt, spacer, pump, and housing is brand spankin' new.

Things are starting to take shape, and it's nothing too crazy. Lots of parts that we have been using in many customer builds: Sexy Roan's RXParts apex seals, solid corner seals, Pineapple Racing heavy duty coolant seal kit, viton oil control rings. I do have one thing up my sleeve but I'm going to wait until I have some future pics to do the talking

Everyone keeps asking me why I'm not going 20B. Maybe I'm a bit odd, but I've always enjoyed my 13B-REW engines. I like the high revving nature, and quite frankly want my FD running with some power sooner rather than later..... in this case, tentative goals are 600 rwhp and 9500 rpm redline in a streetable RX-7.

Rotors are already clearanced for high rpm and boost, and the rotating assembly is going off to be balanced in the next few days

First picture is a modeling shot of our shop help Heathcliff showing off his manly good looks..... last time many of you saw him, he was throwing up his lunch after riding with me through the Tail of the Dragon

If all goes as planned this weekend, out with the tan carpet and in with the black, install my battle-tested Raceshop rollbar, and relocate the battery to the rear passenger bin

Just washed her for the first time since the Carlisi meet.... have had like zero time to drive the car. It's also a show of solidarity for Mr. Ambrosio, who calls me in tears weekly because his engine isn't built and he can't drive his car

Also a shot of some goodies that arrived at my door today, quality is top notch
